Something else to consider, though...

You remember that movement by Steelers minority owners to get Mike Tomlin fired?

Guess who was part of it?

Just sayin', if Mike Tomlin's record isn't good enough, how does Ron Rivera's stack up?

Mike Tomlin isn't as good as Rivera imo. He was left a SB winning team with some legendary coordinators and has eroded that framework for years.

Rivera and Hurney didn’t waste any time getting rid of dead weight Shula. Even with Tepper saying there will be no “changes” to the coaching staff Ron and Marty know their jobs are in jeopardy if they don’t end the Curse and make a playoff run... especially with the talent we have on offense now.

He’s going to give Ron and Norv at least two years to see if Norv turns things around. If Ron goes, you can’t expect Norv to stay. He came out of retirement partly for Ron after all.

Having said that, I don’t care if they fire Ron. Just don’t do it until there is a clear better option. It makes 0 sense to get rid of a guy like Ron only to pick up some bargain bin coordinator. Wait. When an upgrade comes on the market, make the move.

I cant wait for the future! PPL here are slobbering Tepper's knob the same way they did for Luck. See how that worked out?

How can so many of you suddenly become so optimistic  and raise this man so high on anything other than the fact that he had the money to buy the team, and gave a press conference which honestly he didn't seem prepared for, and came off more as a brutish ass than a well mannered professional?

We all hope for the best for the team...but LOL at all of you thinking this move will equal instant success.

Above all else, Tepper does not strike me as a guy happy with mediocrity. Something JR seemed happy with at times.

I suspect if this is not a winning season, whooo buddy. Seats will be on fire.

As they should be. Only the Panthers could have Newton and Kuechly and not have a trophy

window is ticking on both. They are in their prime now

Let’s start with Shula. Do you really think Tepper would have allowed him to be hired and then linger for years

I don’t think so

tepper is about performance today not a family name

I appreciate the quote. Yet Shula was let go under JR..not Tepper. IN case you didnt see the interview, he only took full ownership what...now 48 hours ago.

And what history of actions do you base this idea on that Tepper is about performance? Because he says it? Are you that well versed in his business transactions that made him the man he is today to give examples of how that was implemented  directed by him?

We all hope for the best...but wow i cant get over how even Igo is all up on this guys nutsack as being a savior. Are we ready to win? LOL

Shula was let go when it was clear JR was out and status quo Ron knew if he didn’t, he would be next

lol. Actually I am in business. I have followed Tepper. Let’s just say that Someone does not rise as he did and be worth 11 billion dollars and not know a few things and not be cut throat competitive

He expects to win and work hard at it.

Below is the list of American businessmen who are billionaires. Tepper is number 85 in 2016. I would say that’s an indication of business success

never questioned his business success. In fact I praised it. Yet by that standard, JR himself is a no nonsense businessman. So what is the point? One business man is good because he is a good business man, but the other isnt? JR isn't a billionaire for no reason. Both made their fortunes. OK. So what makes you think Tepper is any different than JR in terms of not tolerating bullshit performance? If you are going to equate success in business to "expecting to win and work hard"...where is the difference?

I liked how he mentioned playing at a disadvantage. Sounds like the players were in his ear. The evidence is on tape. Cam has been treated unfairly. The 49ers game was obviously biased. Nobody was going to get in the way of that 49er Seahawk matchup, no, not even with the commercial that "predicted" that outcome way before that playoff game.

How is it you seem to think Tepper will not make a difference when you in reality have no clue what Tepper is even like yet and what he will do. Assumptions will get you no where fast. Tepper just may be a 100% opposite of JR.

You asked if I knew about his businesses and answered yes

now you ask a different question and for  heavens sake, the personality  differences are very obvious and apparent

If you don’t like Tepper ok  if you liked Richardson ok  I’ll take Tepper

That's the way I see it also. We don't want to rush to become the Browns, Bucs, Bears, etc.

I asked if you knew about his business enough to give examples of the past  that led you to believe he would be any different. Your response was to google a forbes article and basically say more or less that he will be better because he is a successful businessman. This to which I replied so was JR.

Its not that i like or dislike either of them. I am just trying to nail down what exactly makes so many believe Tepper is a savior of our franchise, and hoped you may have an answer. Seems not. Hes rich...so basically he is better was more or less your answer. Am I wrong?
