Cam IS on the hot seat!

Cam needs to get us to the SB again in the next 3 years to be considered truly great IMO. Other than that, my man has done just about all he can do with limited resources.

Just because as a fan base people love Cam, doesn't mean you can ignore the fact that our quarterback has accuracy issues, which he's had since college, but by 8 years in the league, he should have fixed that by now. There is a lot of truth to this.  A lot o people around here confuse percentage of offense with playing well.  They aren't necessary the same thing. 

I understand David's point, he is just basically Cam has less excuses now.  With some people there will always be some type of excuse, short of Cam having 10 pro bowlers with him on offense and Sean Payton as his coach.  Personally though I do think the franchise could have probably helped Cam a little more over the years.

With all of that being said though I think it is a bit drastic to say Cam is on the "hot seat".  If anything we will hear the "still learning new system excuse" for a good bit of the season if we end up struggling on offense.  With a new owner everyone might be a warm seat.

He has a point. If Cam can’t produce with all the talent surrounding him and an OC that can utilize him then what will the issue be?

What talent? We have old Torrey Smith which hasn'tbeen a number 1 or 2 in yrs. A rookie that played against supbar defenses in college, not saying he is not good but unproven, 3rd down specialist in the guy from minnie, the rest are unproven byrd and the other rookie from Ohio state both flashed but have to stay healthy. Funchess has to stay healthy.  Oh and Cmc is the only one that played consistently. Everyone acts as if he has antonio brown, JULIO, and Hopkins for wrs. The offense is in revamp mode how in the hell during the 1st yr can he be on a hot seat. If matt ryan wasnt on one then neither should Cam.

Gee you love the panthers bc its your hometown or for whatever reason but everyone roots for a team for a reason. Could be a player, coyld be colors, could be coach. It could be anything! No need to set a barn fire just bc someone said they were leaving etc if xyz happened! I like the panthers but was a New Orleans fan 1st . I like the panthers but loved new orleans mainly for the colors and their defense. Then Cam came and i always like Steve smith so I jumped ship! I get it u are a fan forever dont sht on the rest of us! LOL.

Or you can continue to pretend like our WR core isn’t the deepest it’s been since Smitty or that we don’t have the most reliable TE in the NFL.

Coaching should be on the Hot seat...not Cam.  Cam is the only reason we have been somewhat successful on offense over the course of his career here.  Yes Cam has and will probably always have accuracy issues but you gotta take the good with the bad for any QB you have at the helm.  We would have not even went to the SB on the 2015-16 season without Cam MF'n Newton.  Dude has willed us to win so many times I have lost count and with crap players on offense pretty much 3/4th of his career here.  Fug outta here with this bullsheit.

I would just like to point out that Matt fuging Ryan is making 30 mil a year, we got Cam for a steal and he basically willed us to the super bowl after that extension. In my opinion(which doesn't count for poo), based on what these other scrub ass QBs are getting paid now he has earned every dollar in that contract. I mean Luck is making bank and hasn't played a game since 2016?

Cam is no where near a hot seat, and if for some insane reason he was cut before we draft the next Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers in the 6th round in the next 3 years, I would have to consider turning my fan card in.  Not because "I'm only a Cam fan and when he goes I go!!" but because after being a fan of this team for the past 15+ years if I watch them throw away the best QB we've ever had without a extremely good reason it obviously means they don't give a poo about actually winning or they are just too damn incompetent and I don't know if I can take a mediocre ass product on the field for another 15+ years.

JR can suck a dick with his pie charts and grab assing, it's always been about making money first and if we win that's cool too, but that's only secondary and a by product of the fact that they know to keep us fans pumping in dollars they have to at least get a few wins here and there to look like they give a poo.

Spot on. I'm watching the replay of our playoff game vs the saints and it shows he played lights out when it mattered most. Even Aikman keeps saying how sharp his passes are. Also on full display are our dumpster fire of a receiving corp(outside of Olsen and a hobbled Funch), Ginn burning us, our total inability to run the ball..or make adjustments or run any kind of uptempo hurry up offense...how anyone can look at Cam as the problem is beyond me. Without him we wouldn't have sniffed the playoffs last year and certainly not made the super bowl. Like you said dude's not perfect, but no QB is
