On July 10, 2018 at approximately 3:18 A.M., Milton Police responded to a home invasion at a residence on Hickory Pass near the Cherokee County line. The preliminary investigation indicates that this residence was specifically targeted by the suspect or suspects, and not a random incident.

When officers arrived they found one victim who had been physically assaulted by a lone intruder. During the altercation, the suspect demanded specific items from the victim. An adult female victim was treated and released at North Fulton Regional Hospital. A second adult female victim also sustained a minor injury during the incident.

The attorney for Delicia Cordon, the victim in an alleged home invasion at LeSean McCoy's residence in Milton, Georgia, released a statement on Tuesday.

Per the statement, Cordon and McCoy had a past relationship but are now estranged and McCoy has been trying to evict Cordon from his home for several months. Upon returning from London, Cordon and her cousins were allegedly attacked by an assailant who demanded "specific items of jewelry" that McCoy had requested back on "many occasions." Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports that McCoy was training in Miami as early as 7 AM Tuesday morning, less than four hours after the alleged home invasion. You can read the full statement from Cordon's attorney in the link below.

So the detail that's come out now is that the perpetrators of the home invasion were only looking for specific items of jewelry.

Those just happened to be gifted items that McCoy reportedly was trying to get back from the victim.

If that's true, either McCoy, the guys who actually did the invasion, or both are absolute morons.

“The assailant demanded specific items of jewelry that had been previously gifted to Ms. Cordon by Mr. McCoy, which Mr. McCoy had requested back on many occasions,” the statement from the attorney explains. “In fact, after Ms. Cordon refused to return her jewelry gifts to Mr. McCoy, he would often suggest to Ms. Cordon that she could be robbed because the jewelry was expensive.”

Although the statement apparently doesn’t come out and say it, the implication is inescapable: The lawyer believes McCoy orchestrated the invasion of his home and the ensuing robbery of and attack on Cordon.

If that’s true, McCoy likely has played his last down of NFL football

I really have trouble believing he could possibly be dumb enough to do that the night before the court date. This is starting to look like an episode of law and order SVU.
