Maybe Cam will be looser but it always seemed to me that he was already who he was. Doing more on instagram isn’t going to make him better. Norv being there may, but not Jerry being gone. If he has an MVP year, do you think it’s more because of Jerry leaving or because he got WRs and Norv?

If you are superstitious then Jerry leaving on a sour note and the Panthers finally winning a Super Bowl without him would be a fitting end. That said, I’d think it was more with young guys stepping up and an OC who doesn’t suck. 

Remember when Ron turned into the Riverboat when his job was on the line a while back? It then suddenly sailed away once it was known he was safe. He went from going for it on 4th downs to punting within field goal range.

Being on the hot seat definitely affects performance.

But that said, if you're not good at what you do, being under pressure won't suddenly make you good.

Rivera is capable of being a good coach, but sometimes he isn't.

For Ron, being on the hot seat takes him out of his ultra conservative, do the samething over and over again self. I hate that he has to be on the hot seat to actually coach, but to quote someone whose name escapes me "It is what it is".

I thought Tepper had an A-level press conference. Definitely off to a great start. Would still very much like it if the team put drapes over the statue or obscured it in some way.

I  too expected the transition to be smooth.  However,  it is never good to be in limbo.There is a lot at stake for the future for the team, coaches, fans, and the many people employed by the organization...some of whom I assume have been doing a very good job.

I am glad it is finally done.  Kind of a big sigh of relief when I heard the news yesterday.

Time will tell. Most folks talk partnership, cooperation and lots of great things in pressers. How it actually plays out could be very different. Most folks found out for example that the public perception of Richardson was very different from reality.  Reports on Tepper also said he has a terrible temper, throws things at employees and cusses like a sailor. All things that belie the partnership cooperative convo. Who going to argue with him when he is having a hissy fit.  Most folks have a perceived self image which is often different from the image other people have of them. Many folks in the hedgefund world of cutthroat finances are dicks, narcissists and ego maniacs. I hope he is the exception to the rule. Color me skeptical but hoping he is everything he claims to be. Why doesn't he have minority partners? Does he wants control and doesn't want to cede any power to others or he just hadn't met the right people he wants to work with.

Thank goodness. We need someone who actually knows what they are doing and has a plan. Right now we don't have a team president, our owner is brand new and we have new coordinators on both sides of the ball.  Hurney may not be the long term solution but right now he is the guy holding all of this together.

2016-  17 attempts 11 made  65%

2015- 10 attempts, 6 made 60%

If he is only Riverboat when on the hot seat then why would we attempt a 4th conversion only  11 times in 2017 after a 6-10 year in 2016 when he was on the hot seat but went for it 17 times after our Superbowl year when Ron would supposedly be safe?

The answer has to be there is little correlation between his aggressiveness and being on the hot seat. Another time where the facts go against huddle logic.

That is ridiculous. If you don't want to see it don't go in that gate. When did someone's offended sensibilities dictate what everyone else should do. While we found the seamy underbelly of his behavior sleazy and racist, he still did more to help the Panthers over the past 25 years than hurt them. Plus if Tepper pans out there would be a silver lining to his behavior. It forced him out.
