I kind of agree with Bugs. Being on the hot seat isn't necessarily a good thing if you aren't good at your job.

It is interesting how many folks here wish something into being for them.

Tepper has little experience running a football team. Being a 5% owner means little. Anyone think Sabates would make a good owner if he had the money just because he was a minority owner. 

Tepper's rep as a businessman is a cutthroat money manager who takes risky positions in distressed or bankrupt companies and makes money if they recover. Like many he made billions off of others people's misfortune. On the plus side he has given a ton of money to charatoes and Carnegie Mellon who named a business school.after him. 

But to assume that he will be a good owner for the Panthers is rather premature. And to assume an aggressive owner will bring more success as compared to a more traditional owner is highly speculative. I hope for all of our sakes that he is amazing and terrific for us and he makes all the right choices. Clearly he is bright and successful financially. But there are many owners who are bright and successful in their own right but that doesnt make them a successful owner.

Usually when someone takes over an organization there is a sense that people are wondering if they’re jobs are safe. 

This is true for players as well as management. Unfortunately I think that no matter how the team does Hurney and Rivera are safe, at least this year.

He made clear in the presser he's going to name a team president to oversee things for him.

That's an extremely good sign.

its sad we even have to think about that with a billion dollar organization.
