This may be known already by some but I didn't realize it. HBO is airing a 2 hour GOT behind the scenes documentary this Sunday.

I hope everyone who signed that dumb petition (asking for a S8 do-over) had a chance to watch this.

Haven't had time to sit down yet to watch this....worth it?

It was okay. It is kind of random and sporadic. There is no real narration, and you just really get exposed to a few "behind the scenes" people and how the filming of S8 impacted them.

The best parts to me were Kit's and Maisie's reactions upon the initial reading of Arya killing the Night King and Jon killing Dany. Also, Kit broke down on set after filming his last scene, and it was pretty touching.

The coolest part is that they focused a lot on the extra that got a lot of hype on /freefolk for surviving all the major battles. They called him Ser Longbeard on /freefolk, and I think the show credited him as something Strongbeard. His name is Andy McClay IIRC and he's all about that GoT life. He went from Stannis' army to Jon's side at the end, and survived a ton of the major battles at the end of the series.

It was sad in a way, in that you see all these people who basically are family for so many years, and you feel how let down they are (almost similarly to how you feel) with the show ending.

It was worth it IMHO. No real blockbuster info or anything like that, but a cool peek behind the scenes and homage to some of the crew.

It sucks that all that blood, sweat, and tears put into something they loved ends up to be fuged by 2 people who didn't hold up their end of the final product.  My personal opinion of course.

Yeah I'm not signing a petition that shits on incredible work of majority of people working on the show but I'm not rushing to watch anything written by D&D any time soon.

It is pretty funny because D&D had almost zero part to play in the documentary, lol.

I hope Andrew McClay gets a major role in a prequel series, or in a show like Last Kingdom or something else like that.

I'll be honest.  I would have wagered a small amount of money you would have finished it with something like.

GOT was overall an incredible body of work.  But if you come at the king, you best not miss.  The Wire is still the GOAT.

If I had faith the uneducated masses would get the reference I might have.
