ETA: What if Melisandre disguised herself as the little girl Davos and Gilly fawn over?

My brother texted me the same thing this morning.  Is this a theory/possible spoiler going around or just two book readers thinking alike?

My guesses:

Battle of Winterfell

Lives
Jon
Dany
Jaime
Tyrion
Arya
Sansa
Bran
Gendry
The Hound
Sam
Gilly
Davos
Grey Worm
Brienne
Tormund

Dies
Beric
Podrick
Missandei
Varys
Melisandre
Theon
Lyanna Mormont
Yohn Royce
Jorah
Edd
Maester Wolkan
Alys Karstark
Lots of Red Shirts

I have Grey Worm and Missandei living but prefer the way you have it.

The only two I would switch is Brienne to die and one of the Mormonts (lean Jorah) to live.  I might switch Pod and Tormund as well.

I think most people think Grey Worm is gonna be the one to die, but I think it'll be the other way around. They ain't retiring to Naath, to say the least.

I really think Brienne lives. Pod was iffy for me, but I don't know that he serves a purpose post-Winterfell. That'll be Brienne's loss. Tormund I was iffy on as well, as I kind of think he'll die. But, I'd like for him to be the leader of the Wildlings in the end, plus he's just one of my favorites.

I did see it reported on a couple sites, but I had the thought prior to reading it (which actually caused me to google it and see that others had the same thoughts.) If you'll remember, Jon or Davos, or both, vowed that if Mel returned to the North they would kill her. But Mel told Varys that she was destined to die there, as was he. I think she donned a disguise/glamour to get in to help. I read a couple rumor/theories that she'll die saving the women/children in the crypts.

Hey, maybe she disguised herself as Arya to get Gendry's kingsblood seed and make another one of them ghost babies to take out the Night King? lol

Who really knows, though? That's the beauty of the Faceless Men/Lord of Light worshippers still floating around out there without closure.

Jorah having served with the Golden Company makes me lean him as safe.

I actually want some more important folks to eat it in the battle of Winterfell.   That list is a little too too heavy for me.  Given how hyped this battle is.

I don’t see the Jamie/Breinne/Tormund trio all surviving the battle.   Seems like at least one of them will take one for team for another.

Only ones I legitimately safe this episodes are

John

Dany

The Hound

One Lannister brother

One Stark sister

think they can tell the story knocking out any combo really outside of them being safe

Bruhs... I found a post on freefolk this morning in which someone claiming to have seen Episode 3 gave out some interesting tidbits. It could be fake, as that is something in which I think the risk runs high before big episodes like this, so take it for what it is worth.

Potential spoilers below. Do not open if you don't want to read something that might be really legit leaks.

Dies:
Almost everyone in the crypts. Biggest names are Gilly and Missandei. Missandei gets decapitated trying to save the burned face girl. Varys survives the crypts, but gouges his own eyes out after a stare down with The Night King and hearing a "really creepy voice." Little Sam isn't found, and I think it is implied that he's "taken" by the WWs.

Bran. Stabbed by The Night King. Resurrected by Beric (at the cost of Beric's own life, the way it reads.)

Beric. See Bran.

Theon. Killed by The Night King.

Edd. First somewhat major character to bite it.

Podrick

Yohn Royce

Jorah

Lives:
Tyrion and Sansa escape the chaos of the crypts.

Jon has an epic battle with The Night King and pretty much gets his ass whooped, but he manages to stab The Night King with a dagger and wound him, causing him to flee on Viserion.

Arya, who thinks that Gendry has died. She's frantically searching for him, finds him as they flee Winterfell, and they embrace.

Bran. Resurrected by Beric.

Sam

Brienne and Jaime. They fight epicly as a duo, but Jaime takes a lot of wounds. At one point, an undead horse falls on Jaime as well. Brienne basically carries Jaime off the battlefield, and it doesn't look good for him after episode 3. He's wounded pretty bad, it sounds like.

The Hound. Carries Bran at the end of the episode (I'm assuming as everyone flees Winterfell.)

Varys. See above. Now blind, it sounds like.

Dany

Tormund

Other tidbit:

Bronn finds the survivors at the end of the episode.

Again, could be total BS.  But, for me at least, it kinda passes the sniff test.

This is very true.  She and Varys are my top two to die at some point this season simply because she said it would happen.

She also said that she would see Arya again and we see Arya in the crypts in the preview so it would make sense.
