I don't really buy that one. It is similar, yes.

To me, I'd guess the following about the symbolism...

1. It's a storm. Simple and plain.
2. It is a galaxy. Not sure what the purpose would be in the story, though.
3. It represents all gods leading back to one, central god, which is death. Death is a big part of most major religions, and each arm on the symbol could represent a face of the "Many Faced God" of the Faceless men leading back to the central idea that Death is the only god.

One of my favorites was the 7 spirals representing the faith of the seven and the white walkers were created as an abomination of the faith of the Andals.  But it's often represented with 8 spirals.

I read a bit today about the symbol potentially being a symbol of "God's Eye" which is a lake, at the center of which is the Isle of Faces where The Pact took place. It is currently said to be inhabited by the "Green Men" and was visited for a season by none other than long-time Stark friend and ally Howland Reed. Supposedly TNK wants to get there and wreck stuff in revenge for the WW's being created/defeated so long ago.

I dunno. Sounds plausible.

On another tangent.

Jon and Cersei supposedly filmed scenes together on the Kings Landing set for season 8. The director for these scenes was/is in charge of episodes 1, 2, and 4.

I read a theory/potential leak somewhere that Jon is captured/submits himself to be a prisoner/hostage to Cersei.

I'm not sure how that would play out, as I can't see him turning his back on Winterfell and the North, but, at the same time, I could...

What if the WWs come in Episode 3, as reported, in the Battle of Winterfell and wreck the northern host? What if the Golden Company times it perfectly and the surviving northern lords sell Jon and Dany out because they are already devastated? OR, Jon could turn himself over (even better, Arya wearing Jon's face!) in order to somehow convince Cersei that his intentions of saving the realm are true.

I'm not sure what all is going to happen, and I am excited.

In the preview, we do see a catapult taking a shot next episode. Maybe the Golden Company arrives BEFORE the WWs? Maybe Jon agrees to go with them to Kings Landing if they stay and help fight the WWs first?

All of this would put Jon in Kings Landing at some point in episode 4. That's some pretty fast pacing.

I think Bran will confront Jaime then let it go because he knows Jaime will help the cause...

Or he could have Arya kill Jaime... 50/50 :)

Winter was always coming.  Bran wouldn’t be the 3 eyed raven without everything that happened going down.  So given that, I think Bran will be the ones that defends Jamie being there.

Somebody explain to me the Tyrion betraying Jon/Dany angle.  Unless there's super duper secret inception going on, Cersei wanting Tyrion dead doesn't exactly help that theory that Tyrion and Cersei have a secret agreement and he's going to betray Dany/Jon. poo makes no sense to me.

Doesn’t make any sense to me either. Never did

The only way I could see Tyrion betraying dany is if he finds out Jon is King and dany burns tf out of Kings landing. At that point he’d back a better horse

If you paid attention... New season name order have Peter Dinklage as main character in season 8 and Deny in like 5-8th range...

Sean Bean was the first name in season 1. Death of Tyrion confirmed.

Kidding he's been first before.

Tyrion as the character we knew from seasons 1-4 is pretty much dead anyway.  Best we're going to get is more 'varys doesn't have a cock' jokes.

'I used to think you were the cleverest man alive.'  Well yeah, ran out of books...a mind needs books like a sword needs...

    • Cam is the GOAT dual threat, but we've never been able to have back to back seasons with winning records despite the late season surge winning streaks, my favorite being the year we won the south in the 2nd half of the season. But winning 2 games late in the year against bad teams doesn't establish a "winning culture"  If they beat the Falcons bucs once, competitive against the chiefs and eagles i will have no problem with wins then because it's against legitimate competition but beating the giants and saints just to feel good, hard pass.
