0.0% chance Grey Worm lives - - anytime someone is kissing the lover in the trailer they dead. A lot of the others I could go back and forth on.

I would think most should die? I mean, gonna be kinda lame that the series where main people get knocked off the entire series.....somehow has all these folks survive this pending war that has been building the entire time.

Oh most will die IMO. Meant just above with Dex's list, I go back and forth on who I think dies and doesn't, but I would except half the list to get canned.

I think the “most people will die” assumption is short sighted. It’s not about the number it’s about the impact of the character death and why. Ned didn’t die just for shock value, neither did Robb. They died to push the story into a different phase.

I'm always interested in reading the books when a new season starts but can never get further then halfway through the first book for various reasons. *shrugs*

The first book is very close to the first season of the show. If I was you I’d just start from the second and skip all Sansa chapters. Maybe Catlyns too. Even danys. The best part of the books is that you don’t need to read it in order. On my reread thru’s I pick characters I wanna go back and reread and go from start to finish just reading their chapters. Or if multiple characters stories intertwine I’ll read it as a block. The world is so big and characters are so far apart you don’t miss anything

I couldn't get through it. Maybe it's because it felt like I was rewatching a show I've already seen multiple times.

We've been re-watching season 7 this week. Last night, I got to the episode where Arya is spying on Littlefinger when he gives the woman in the alley something as he whispers to her, as well as other moments in the sequence. He knows she is watching, though.

In the previous episode, Arya and Brienne were sparring in the courtyard. Littlefinger and Sansa are overlooking it, and Littlefinger lingers, smirks, and nods before the scene cuts.

All of this is VERY reminiscent of Arya's time with Ja'qen.

It could be a coincidence, but maybe there is more to it after all.

@Bronn I just finished season 7 last night. Is there any reason to think that if Littlefinger had actually escaped and the person they kill in the great hall at Winterfell was a faceless man wearing his skin:

a: that the deception would reveal itself after death? or would the "mask" have to be pulled off for them to see who was under the face?

b: how would the now dead faceless man get the face of Littlefinger while Littlefinger is still alive?

As for Bran knowing if it were the real Littlefinger...right before the big reveal of who Jon Snow is, Bran tells Sam that he sees the past and the present etc. He knows it all and then IMMEDIATELY gets Jon Snow wrong. He tells Sam that Jon is actually Jon Sand and NOT Jon Snow. It's only when Sam tells him about the Maester diary that the marriage was annulled that Bran is able to go back and witness the wedding of Rhaeghar and Lianna. What gives with Bran's selectivity of going back to watch past events? If he was so sure than Jon was a bastard wouldn't he go back and witness the "capture" of Lianna?

In previous seasons it was shown that someone doesn't have to be dead to use a face, like in Arya's training when she sees her own face.

I love the theory that LF is alive and I wouldn't be surprised.

LF still being alive and using the faceless men who want to get Arya is very intriguing and makes the poor writing of his death in season 7 less terrible

It's worth noting that LF's past family/ancestors are from Braavos.
