I mean I can get that.  Don't really disagree.

But Omar was a GOAT character.  Just never sat right, seemed wrong for some reason to conclude his story in that fashion.

I agree, it bothers me too. But the writers were concerned Omar became too much of a hero and that he was untouchable. The scene where the kids are "playing" as Omar exemplified that. He needed to die so the audience could see this way of life had repercussions.

Yes, Omar was the GOAT and he deserved better. But it's all in the game yo. It's all in the game.

That was good writing. Not let’s kill main characters everyone 15 minutes like GoT does.

If it was Michael I would have been more okay with it. Especially because is season 4 Omar sees Michael is like "he's just a baby". Would have awesome coming full circle especially since Michael essentially replaces Omar in spirit. But fuging BITCH ASS PUNK ASS KENNARD???

Child please.

It was the metaphor though, you can cap even the best worst person on the streets. Your still in it for life.

I understand why the writers did it as well. Omar was this mythical motherfuger in the streets. He simply could not be got. Stanfield/Barksdale's people put out 5 figure hits on the dude. Straight up turned Baltimore upside down to find him. Couldn't get it done.

And he was killed by a child.

Game of Thrones used to do that.   When it first started.   I actually liked that about the show.

Then...well...then they started having magic dumpsters and doing fake outs after they earned the reputation of anyone can die.

I mean yeah, Littlefinger ate it.  But now generally somehow survive at rate that didn't exist early on.  Snow? Well, he gets faked out now.  Snow always is about to die then nah, dawg. Jamie? Yep.  The Hound?

We should stop comparing The Wire to GoT though. One is a modernist urban novel/study about an American city and another is a fantasy drama. It's like comparing a Greek tragedy to Tolkien.

There's no denying GoT has dropped in quality and is purely fan service now but it's still a great show and seasons 1-5 were incredible.

You should have answered "No One" for who will kill the Night King, since you're odds are better for it actually being nobody, or Arya. A girl is No One. ;)

Also, I think the following people will live that you have marked as dead:
Jon, Arya, Yara, and Brienne

The following, I think will die that you have living: Jaime, Melisandre, and Varys

Wights (dunno why they called them White Walkers):
Tormund, Beric, Jorah, and Theon

I agree that Euron will die first, and I think Jon or Dany sit the Iron Throne when all is said and done.

Arya will live. She’s the queen pin of the entire series.
