Hate it for Manhertz, hopefully he is ready for camp and has a strong showing. I like Thomas.....but he is a 4th round rookie. Unless he is something incredible right off the bat I would not be rooting to see him out there too much.

Manhertz should be solid depth, wish him speedy recovery. Both could surprise and make winning contributions to the team just on Norvs scheme.

It'll be the most TE2 usage this team has seen in a long time regardless under Norv. Manhertz was just an extra blocker really, it won't take much for Thomas to take his spot.

Thomas has been playing football for a lot longer than Manhertz though. Manhertz had never played football without a Madden controller before stepping into an NFL training camp. It's amazing and a testament to his athleticism and work ethic that he actually made a roster.

He was actually on Panther board but DG’s ego came in the way.

Stats isn’t everything and your not even accounting for his ability to pass protect and run block which is the other 1/2 of being a TE

Hunter Henry 2 yrs: 1057 yds 12 TDs 

Ed Dickson 8 yr: 1985 12 TDs
