Dante Wesley only suspended 1 game?

The league had to do something cause he was ejected. Had this been in Carolina and had not the buc's rushed the field it would not have come to this. Just a player trying to make a play and messed up. The fine seems fair if you ask me.

I agree, he wasn;t trying to hurt anybody, but you can't launch yourself into a defenseless player. And there is precedence. They talked about it on PTI, somebody did almost the same thing last year and was suspended a game without pay. So for anybody thinking they are just picking on the poor old Panthers.....shut up you homer you!

yeah, I don't think he should have anything added. It looks to me his shoulder hits Smith in the chest, even though the league said near neck and in head... I think the thrown elbow pushing him may have given that appearance..

FWIW, that would be a textbook hit for anyone interested in working on their form..

it was bad timing by wesley.....like trying to get some during that time of the month with ya girl.but hell i liked it kinda bc it set the tone for the rest of the game.

Throw this incident on top of McNabb, you would think more attention would be on us.

I can't imagine they would feel any other way.. I would too. But I would also come out with a gut check and play hard. They didn't. Anything else is just talk.

Hard hits happen and although it was a cheap shot, he was trying to make a play on the ball. He was ejected and getting disciplined.. time to move forward.

I'm all for hard hits. The harder the better. But Smith is on the ground and then the ball hits the ground. Just a mistimed tackle and you just can't do that.

he deserves what he got....nothing more,should he have just form tackled him?yes...but in the ESPN era,everybody is trying to make the Top 10...i dont blame him for blowing him up,i just wish he wouldnt have left his feet

I didn't realize Wesley has been with the Panthers for 9 years....I'm sure his clean past had something to do with his lite punishment.
