CJ is a true Panther great. DG released him and he came back for less money after that... Quite a bit different than some others I won't mention. If not for him getting leg whipped by the Pats in '13 I bet he would've had a better run since and maybe still be contributing for us. Also, may have gone further in 2013... Good luck in future endeavors Big Money.

Never was the same after that illegal block in the New England game a couple years ago.

It was 2013, he was absolutely flat out dominating everyone that season.  I never the same game changer again after that.  IMO, I think he rushed himself back on the field too quick and screwed himself up for good.  Sucks, he was a difference maker.  Also, don't forget that the POS that injured him is still playing for the patriots, wouldn't mind if someone took out his knees dirty players deserve to get a taste of their own medicine.

If only if prime CJ and prime Pep were able to play together

Charles Johnson's prime years were 2010 - 2014.  Pep left in 2009.  Some other guy, I can't remember who, was suspended for 2014.  2010 & 2011 were kind of wasted because all we really had on the defense was him.  2012 - 2014 we picked up some linebacker and another old linebacker got healthy, can't remember either of their names.  So in 5 really good years where he totaled 52.5 sacks and played at an all-pro level he made 0 pro bowls.  Kind of sad but it happens to a lot of guys that play for a while in the NFL or any sport.  Bad timing.
