I'm happy they tied up the slutty reporter being trinity's (quadrinity?) daughter with a solid explanation as to how and why she became close with Quinn. Instead of an amazing coincidence, she was actually researching a copycat murder in a house where she had watched her father kill someone 30 years ago. (She looks a little young to be 35 though.)

I thought they were just being lazy the last episode, but it looks like they've written this season pretty solid.

The only thing that's odd is how close Dexter is becoming to the family as Kyle. That's just dangerous territory.

Looks like this season may end with an major bang, and I'll be sad to see Arthur Mitchell leave the show. Lithgow has been everything I had hoped for, and then some.

I had Julie Benz (Rita) over for Thanksgiving (or maybe I just read an interview) when she mentioned that we'll see the first big cliffhanger for the show. The seasons usually wrap up quite nicely, but not this year. She also added that the cliffhanger will change the show at it's core.

They already did that blood test in season 1. Plus there was the memory of his Dad being contacted to give him blood as a child and Rita found the "thank you" card in that house. Then there was the memory of his Dad's tattoo while riding in the back seat of a car. Pretty sure that's a done deal. That would be weak writing. "Oh hey, we've been lying to you."

I think the plan is ending the show after 5 seasons, so they have to start thinking about closing the series without any help from the books. I think Deb finding out the truth combined with his marital issues will get him to slow down.

Maybe it's possible Dex just quits. He's becoming more human each season. Now with his wife and with him thinking differently cause of being a father, I don't know. He's been getting more sloppy each season so he'll either realize this or just get caught.

I'm guessing Deb finds out who Dex's mom is and then finds out that the ice truck killer is his brother. Things will start to add up.

Probably. I mean, the show is great. Last season wasn't as good as the first 2, usually a show starts going downhill but no, it comes back this season with a great season. I think this season and the one with his brother were the best.
