Rivera Respect

Character is what you do when no one is watching.

My parents neighbor's son just graduated from college and got married. He was flying to Europe on the honeymoon and had a flight dely/cancellation on a connecting flight. Riverboat was on the same flight and he introduced himself and did the selfie thing.

Right before they boarded Ron walked up and gave him a card in an envelope. He had walked to a gift shop, bought a card, signed it and put 2 $100 bills inside. The note said  congratulations, have a nice dinner on me and Keep Pounding.

Pretty cool thing for Ron to do after a 5 minute conversation.

Where’s he going that 200 is going to cover dinner

Ireland. Guy doesn't drink so should be good.

My Dad had the selfie and a picture of the card but he is 88. It took him 20 minutes to find it in his phone so I didn't ask him to send it to me.

Cool story.  I like Ron in a lot of ways but really hope his coaching style changes this season.

Is what it is.

Ron Rivera is an average head coach.

Riverboat Ron is an above average HC.

We get both each season.  Never know which dude will coach the most.

People don't know how good we have it with Rivera. He is a great person on top of a great coach. You can say it all you want but the W/L record speaks for itself. Bad coaching can sink a team and this team has never sunk. This team does not quit, look at the 15-1 season as an example of that. Lose their #1 WR and are tied/down in the 4th quarter almost every game and still pulled it out. This is a TEAM and Rivera is a huge part of it. He started out rough but has become one of the best in the NFL right now. Every coach has moments that don't pan out or some questionable decisions.
