Trade Option to Improve the Passing Game

Take it for what its worth considering it is coming from PFT. Eagles are looking for LBers and Kevin Curtis could be on the block.

Not sure how much, if any, Curtis would help. I'm thinking Johnson, a former starter in Cincy, could be a good trade.

I also find it interesting that in the comments some Eagle fans are talking about the Eagles trading McNabb and allowing Kolb to start the rest of the season. Once again, not sure how much it would help...

Id rather work on improving pass protection and using the very capable receivers we already have. Hasn't Gross already given up more sacks than all of last season? Didn't we just make him one of the top paid OT's?

Getting a new WR at this point would equate to buying a newer, big trailer to haul with a truck with engine and transmission problems- it would cost a lot and wouldn't make a bit of difference.

Yeah, let's trade away another draft pick for another mediocre WR. That will make things better.

BTW, why are so many people acting like the Panthers are the only team in the league that are reluctant to make a trade in the middle of the season? There is a reason why very few of these in season trades ever happen, and it's not just something specific to the Panthers. It's simple...most of the players on the trading block aren't worth what the team wants for them, and most of the names people are mentioning aren't on the trading block in the first place. Brady Quinn is a perfect example of a player who's not worth it. I guarantee you that Cleveland is gonna want more than a 4th round pick for him even though he really hasn't proven himself at all in the NFL.

Monstercat, I really respect you so all I'm going to say is you need to read before posting. The Eagles aren't even looking for draft picks, actually they might be inclined to give up some for a LBer.

It's still not worth it, because we're not very deep at LBer either. And I wasn't just talking about this thread, I'm talking about all the "we should trade for so and so" threads. Unless Houston is willing to trade Andre Johnson for or the Falcons are willing to trade Matt Ryan for something the Panthers could afford, I just don't see the point.
