Another fluff piece but it gives me hope our secondary could be solid. The article says that Seymour will compete with Cockrell for a starting position opposite Bradberry. I am wondering if it might be Seymour and Cockrell as starters and Bradberry relegated to the back up role.

Worst secondary in the NFL. Gonna have to score 30 a game.

I think that we can score that much with this offense.

I also think that our secondary isn't any worse than last year. Searcy for Coleman is a wash, and I believe Gaulden will eventually be a starter. Our CBs, while not elite, are serviceable, definitely better than last year. This article talks about Seymour (who was taking snaps away from Worley last year) competing with Cockrell, but we also have Doss, who's been a interception machine so far and our 2nd round pick, Jackson! As long as we scheme right, and can pressure the QB without so much blitzing, we'll be fine.

Will easily be better than our last two years.

Explain to me how. Would like to hear this. Our safeties have zero experience and Bradberry is a mid-tier corner that wouldn't start on some if not most teams.

Searcy for Coleman isn't a wash. Who the hell is Searcy? Coleman was a veteran that might have fallen off in coverage, but was still a presence. Depending on a third round hybrid safety to "eventually" be our starter is going to cost us games. There needs to be a veteran brought in before camp to learn the system. Our corners being servicable, that would be one, Bradberry. I don't trust Cockrell. That Giants defense was awful. Maybe Jackson steps up, but Michael Thomas, Julio and Evans will tower over him. I fear Jackson is another Captain, except we spent a 2nd on him and not a 7th.

Our safeties have zero experience?  Adams and Searcy are vets with tons of experience...they may have list scstro from age, but saying they have no experience is beyond laughable.

Searcy is a vet

A solid saftey. He's easily just as good if not better than Kurt has been. If he can consistently tackle and not have coverage lapses often he'll be good for us.

There's a reason the saftey market is at a stand still.
