I will never understand why people think his injury had to do anything with his performance. Like did it make him give up on routes? Did it make him have bad hands? Did it make him terrible at blocking? I mean he was already slow. KB became irrelevant when Funchess started to get good. 

And yes KB was right he wasn't the #1 anymore because he was getting out played on a team of JV WRs.

Cams shoulder injury was his fault.  He gave up on the route, gave up on tackling the defender on the int and Cam got hurt diving trying to prevent the touchdown. 

And it wasn’t the first time he quit.

Carolina did everything they possibly could to help Kelvin be motivated and become the receiver they hoped they drafted.

 

Bottom line is he didn't ever have it within himself to do so. If he had just a drop of what Steve Smith had in determination he would have been an all pro receiver.

C’mon man you’re not new here. Everyone knows Smitty and Cam did not get along to the point of physical altercation. That’s just who Smitty is. He’s just another drama queen, selfish elite WR diva. There’s tons out there for some reason that’s just how elite wrs work. Smitty even more so because he physically injured other people to the extent of ruining their lives and careers.

Digressing...Cam could not thrive with a persona like that established here. Anyone who says we never should have rid ourselves of 89 the time we did does not understand team building and is probably just a casual fan.
