Except these are medical decisions made by the medical staff and doctors not Rivera. He simply follows their recommendations.

I don’t think anyone ever blamed Ron for the timing of Cam’s surgery. The blame was for continuing to play him with a significantly injured throwing shoulder when we were already out of contention. The frustration over the timing of Cam’s surgery was that it was already well into the offseason when he had the surgery but no one was blaming that on Rivera.
