How many of the huddlers here cheering on Julio eagerly lobbed dozens of torpedoes at Greg Olsen and Thomas Davis because they asked for a new contract? And neither of them actually held out.

Julio plays for the falcons. It's fun to watch them squirm.

Let's just take the gloves off, and state the obvious. Many "fans" on this board flip from supposedly being pro-player in one instance to regurgitating plantationesque nfl owner speak in another.

It isn't like this is the last year of his deal.  He signed a 6 year deal.  To think that he was going to remain at the top of the food chain as far as salary is concerned is idiotic.  Salaries will continue to rise.   To demand 28 million will throw the WR payscale through the roof.

It is sad that anyone gets that much money for playing football but just because the QB rate is that high doesn't mean you're gonna get the same salary.

Part of me hopes the Failcon pay him ridiculous money and ruins their cap.  The other part of me hopes he doesn't because if one of our WR becomes a stud than we are looking having to pay comparable.

It won't happen.   He'll start losing money once the season starts.   When he starts losing that weekly amount.  He'll suit up.

Maybe, but if Julio decides to hold out and they win without him, then they could be saying by to to him.

Yeah and that's why they drafted WR in the first round, to have options.   The rookie won't be ready to perform at that level, not yet, and I think their O will not be at the same level.

Julio is a great receiver, top 2 in the league....but this is some bush league poo. Of all the years to pull this, you wait till you scored a grand total of 3 TDs. We always re-up our guys 1 year before they're due, not half way into a contract. You guys want to throw 2 #1's our way? I'd probably settle for a 1st and 3rd.

BUT, BUT, BUT.......It makes perfect sense now........28 - 3..... I've seen that before....
