REPORT: Panthers to give long term deal to Daryl Williams

The OL is getting there--With this signing, and if Moton steps up at G like I think he will, and if Ryan stays healthy--this line could be above average for the first time in a while.  We would have the foundation for a good OL for a few years to come.

Remember that they are happy about Matt's off season, and he did finish the season playing fairly well after a rough start.

No T depth if Moton plays LG, unless we move Moton to T and Larsen or Ron's boy Amini to G...

Good move, his value is high right now, but the possibility of him having another good season would price him out of what we can afford.  I thought we should extend funchess before this season to hold on to him since hes so young, but with us having so many receiving options now after the draft, even if we let him walk this offseason, I'd feel good about replacing his production.  On the flip side, I don't feel comfortable letting Daryl walk what-so-ever.  Need to keep that part of the line strong.

This is a good move.  It is good to see we are doing everything possible to keep the players we drafted.

If a deal is there to be made, the smart move is to get it done. If he has another All-Pro caliber season, he's gonna break the bank heading into free agency next off-season. If we think he's the real deal, lock him up because the price tag will only increase.

I know there were a ton of bad pixks, but these two selections look great.

Agree. Get him locked up early before he has another great season and the price tag gets even higher. I dont want the panthers to be known as a team that lets quality OL leave often. I understand we couldn't sign norwell but lets get this dude locked up.

I want to see the running game get back to where it was before we relied on Cam for stats.  CMC-CJ to get 1800 combined would be a great start.

I have no problems paying D. Williams, however would our line have been better paying Norwell that money and letting Moton take over at RT?
