You realize that Switzerland is #6 in the FIFA ranking right now and a really good team...Right?

FIFA ranking doesn't mean anything right now, because Germany is 1 in the FIFA rankings. The Swiss have looked average for the most part throughout the tournament.

England and Belgium are very similar.  Very physical with a lot of pace.  Neymar will be diving like crazy.

I think Brazil will beat Mexico but not sure Brazil is good enough to win it all.

With all this talk of permutations I wonder if it’s just best to draw teams out of the hat for each knockout round, like with the Champions League.

I have them out to Uruguay, but even if they win I cannot see them then defeating France and Brazil/Belgium

Am I the only one that thinks people are sleeping on Croatia?  They are never mentioned with teams that have looked the best but they swept their group with a 7:1 GD.  Only Belgium topped that and while I think they are the best team left, their group was far from challenging.   

Croatia, along with Denmark and Switzerland, were my dark horse candidates before the tournament and given the draw I definitely like the odds of one of them going far.  Too bad two of them have to play each other.

I also am confused by how many mention Mexico looking good but they never mention the Swedes, who actually won the group and spanked Mexico.

I posted earlier that Croatia can win the whole thing and I also agree on Switzerland.  Very tough squad.  Yeah, I think the Mexican dream is over vs Brazil.

I realize Argentina has struggled but I'd be very careful if I was France.
