Rivera nominated for College Football Hall of Fame

Being nominated for the CFHOF is obviously a nice honor. If Rivera actually makes it, it would be great. 

Let's hope that this is a precursor to being inducted in Canton one day. Let's go catch a few superb owls, coach! That would be awesome!

 

"Rivera played at the University of California from 1979-1983, where he led the team in tackles in his final three seasons.

Rivera was also a Lombardi Award Finalist, East-West Shrine Game MVP, consensus All-American and Pac-10 Co-Defensive Player of the Year as a senior in 1983."

Yeah he'd probably need 2 and be around for at least two decades. Wouldn't rule that out though...

We pretty much dominated the league until we ran into Denver in SB50, so it can happen. We just have to finish the deal. With only one obvious Achilles heel right now, maybe we can do it this coming season.

Panthers have one of the best chance to win the SB not only this year but for the next 4 years.
