Not even a Hornets fan and no chance I'd trade Kemba for anything less than a top 5 pick right now. Even if this is a deep draft class, an All-Star PG with a decent contract is worth more than a mid lottery pick.

I love Kemba, but like they were talking on WFNZ today you have to shop him.

You can thank the old GM for those big contracts and putting us in this situation.

Kemba is a All-Star guard, and he's going to get paid as one.  With the contracts right now its going to be almost impossible to resign him.

We keep him, he most likely is going to walk somewhere else when this contract is up due to our cap space.  And lets be real, with this squad even if we add this lottery pick to the mix.  Our PEAK is probably the last seed of the playoffs and may get lucky to win 1 playoff game and lose a playoff series 4-1 before Kemba is gone. If you can get a top 10 pick and give up one of Kemba, MKG, or even Marvins contract (no one is going to touch Batums)  you take that and run like he11

Again

Going to go with a wishful thinking scenario

Clippers trying to deal Jordan

3 teams

Clippers get- #8 pick (Michael Porter jr), Kevin Love,  Marvin Williams.

Cavs get- Kemba, Deandre Jordan.  Trade big for big but Jordans contract will be expiring soon, so helps open cap room.  Also adds all-star PG to help recruit Lebron to stay home.  If he does go, you have 2 good pieces atleast to build around.  (Hypothetically I could see them signing Danny Green who is friends with lebron from starting off in Cleveland, and almost got traded there last year)

Cavs starting lineup would include Kemba at PG, Green at SG, Lebron at SF, Jordan at C

Hornets get- #12, #13 pick.  Hornets draft Miles Bridges, Knox, and Aaron Holliday

PG: Holliday

SG: Monk

SF: Knox

PF: Bridges

Is a nice young core to build and develop while still hancuffed to Batums contract.

Very interesting trade scenario. Not likely to happen but I do think it is a fair deal on all sides. I think that the Clips need some more value. But if we had 11, 12 and 13 I probably would go with SGA, Knox and Robert Williams. I believe I read that Bridges lost weight to focus on being a SF. I do like the idea that Knox and Bridges could be interchangeable for SF/PF depending on which team we are playing. We could be a very fun team to watch but I will go with size bc I don't see Howard staying around and Hermangomez is a backup.

PG: SGA

SG: Monk

SF: Knox

C: Robert Williams

Im not sure

I read a article this week stating the Clippers were a team that could possibly move up.

And the 12 and 13 picks combined would put them around 8 for value.  The Jordan for Love is a wash.  And they would get not a star but respectable starting PF.  Williams had a avg year.  Avg 41% from downtown sane as Draymond Green (again Not noting he is anywhere near that level of a overall player), and would start as a stretch 4 right away to a team team that traded Blake Griffin this year.

I know this is the Celts page. With all this rumor on LeBron leaving I thought I thought of a way to keep LeBron in Cleveland and become competitive again.

Cavs will trade

Jr Smith

Tristen Thompson

Jordan Clarkson

Net picks 2018, cavs pick 2022 & right to swap picks for 2023

To hornets for:

Kemba walker

Nick batum

Cody zeller

This trade will certainly greatly improve the cavs and rationale behind hornets doing it is because they are already looking to rebuild and wants to trade Kemba in order to dump contract.

The 3players hornets took back all their contract will be expiring in 2020 which allows them shed contract earlier as all the players on their team now all have contracts until 2021exvept for kemba. They also get draft pick and they can tank now as. they own all of their own picks

This is current speculation from a celtics blog.

I'd prefer getting a good player in a trade

We already have MKG and I personally don't think Wiggins is substantially that much better. He's overrated.

Wiggins is 23. He has shot over 30% from deep every year since he was drafted.  He's only missed one game in his career. He close to averaging 20ppg for his career. Wiggins is a much better player then MKG. If you guys think we're getting a Kawhi Leonard or a Porzingis in a trade for Kemba then you are vastly overrating what he's worth. Hell Paul George only got Indiana Victor Oladipo which people thought wasn't poo at the time, but it turned out great for them. Wiggins would be a real good fit for a rebuilding team.
