He was huge for the Panthers that year in showing many players including Deangelo Williams how to take care of their conditioning. Deangelo still credits vinny with that.

i went to our game against the 49ers that year and saw at least one person who had gotten a custom one made so there's one somewhere out there.  weinke jerseys with the name plate taped over too but that's obviously not the same thing.

I remember the opposite.  Snotty was wide open and he threw it so far that he thought he had overthrown him.  Snotty turned on the jets and caught up to it for an amazing TD.  Vinny said postgame that he thought after he released the ball that he had managed to overthrow the fastest receiver in the NFL.

Vinnie was never much appreciated through his career.  Considering he was in the league for 20 yrs he never stayed with one team more than 6 years (2x Tampa and NYJ) though he did has a second stint with NYJ also with Cleveland, Baltimore, Dallas, NE and the Panthers.

He only played on 4 winning teams in 20 years.  Good QB but on lousy teams.

Watching 2007 was a painful year.
