There is no way possible way we could as a organization give this dude a statue.  I really dont think he needs to be added in the ring of honor.  Smitty is out spoken and has a huge attitude, he is the definition of small man syndrome.

Put his statue right next to Jerry's in the dumpster.  Steve's career wasn't even an issue of on-the-field performance vs. off-the-field issues.  This dumbass was beating down his own teammates on the field and in the stadium.  Absolutely no reason to honor a guy like that.
