I think it comes down to this.  Do you want a "Cotchery Type" veteran or a speedster that has shown flashes of what could come?  

I think Byrd has the slight lead because of his PR skills.  A solid PR is critical in the field position area.  If he is a threat to break one every time he touches the ball.  Teams might give up 10-15 yards and put more height on the ball to invoke a fair catch.  

Given a full season, Byrd couple be a top notch special teamer and a situational WR.
