No new secondary coach

Raise your hand if you're shocked.

My guess is the duties will fall to Richard Rodgers while Imamura will serve as his assistant. Rivera doesn't have to give an official title change if he doesn't want to.

Perhaps he plans to use this season as an audition for Rodgers, then give him the permanent job.

Not surprised but actually I'm disappointed I like trying to get the edge in all areas, position coaches are everything for development of young players. I can't comprehend using our SB window year to audition a critical position on our team disappointing. We could add to the group db coaches since we lost one of our stronger position coaches. I thought Rodgers was a special teams cast off or something, I hope maybe Ron will be giving them extra time and attention since he should be locked out of the offensive meetings.

I thought with Tepper we were done with the whole "promote under-qualified people because they're loyal" thing.

Do you think Washington had any input?  If he wanted a new coach, would he get one?

Unknown, but possible.

I'm just hoping this year Rodgers proves he's something more than Rivera's old college teammate.

We have vets at every secondary position that will have a lot to do with developing the rookies. Mike Adams, Searchy, Munnerlyn, Cockrell and Jones all have years of experience to teach the rookies. Players help develop rookies almost as much as coaches.
