Note to Fox: Delhomme is no more than a GAME MANAGER.

i dont think i agree with your assessment of a game manager. To me, there are 'game managers' then you have the Great QBs that win games. Game Managers hand the ball off, and pass very few times, just as needed. like Kerry Collins last year, Titans played D and ran the football. Collins threw only as he needed to. of course this year, that Defense is absent, and so i collins.

Fox thinks Jake is better than he actually is.

Kerry Collins was a game manager last year. There is nothing similar between Jake's performance thus far and what Collins did last year.

One note before we write off Jake at this point, There is a long history of guys who were injured who it took time to get back and even who were relegated to backups like Kurt Warner, or who had a few bad years in a row- Brett Favre.

Right now he is surely not playing well but he has always been streaky. He could come back and play better if we get on a roll. On the other hand he could have some more bad games. As long as we keep winning, I know I don't care.

we barely beat the Bucs and had to overcome another poor performance.....he is too great of a liability at this point. The W on Sunday just further proved that fact.

the pressure to get steve smith his touches makes us throw when we shouldn't..i think we should just incorporate smith into the run game and screw passing unless it's a slant, a screen, a deep pass to smith(they work every now and then..if it's picked it's just like a punt :P)...

If we are forced to pass..TE's should get most of the catches if they are open..never ever have jake throwing into tight coverage at this point unless he get's some sort of TV-movie inspiration and becomes good.

Jackpot. Totally agree. Once again, this is an adjustment that can be made. If Jake is having trouble finding SS or his options are limited based on what the D is doing, then by all means get SS the ball out in space or part of the wildcat or reverses end arounds etc.

That alone could open up MORE options for the run AND pass game.

I would settle for a game manager, but he's not even that. They're not asking him to do much and he's still turning the ball over 2x a game on average.

If we changed our approach with Jake from turnover machine to handoff fiend, and just run the ball every play, it could really limit the possibility of turnovers. If we keep spotting every team we play 2 turnovers, we won't win very many games.

He made a bad pass and threw a pick 6, other than that it wasn't bad or good. Our gameplan was to run right away and we did. We threw the ball when we had to. I suspect we will do it again this week as well. And hopefully we win again with another poor Jake performance.

I'd just like to see some indication that Jake has his confidence back. He let on to the fact that he lost it after the Eagles game and hasn't shown that he has it back. I can deal with his arm if and only if he puts some mojo back in his game.

well, everyone complained about us using Moose on the deep routes......I guess we can also not run Smith on those either.....b/c even w/ seperation Jake couldn't get the pass where it was needed....twice. Smith didn't have a chance to attempt to catch either.

We can beat the Bills w/ another poor Jake performance.....maybe. Maybe the Bucs again....there isn't another game on the schedule where we can do that.

He's never been 'dominant' but he's always been good, despite the criticism he's gotten on this board. He's thrown INTs in his day but he's always made up for it with big bombs and TDs. I think Jake is done now but that's not going to stop me from remembering him as a good QB.

You probably thought making jello pudding on the grill was a good idea too....didn't you? :D

this is why im saying he needs to be one. John Fox expects the guy to win the game, and he can't do it anymore. that was my point

I don't think he is capable of being one. That isn't Jake. He is a gambler....now he is gambler w/ even poorer decisions, worse accuracy, and no longer able to make teams pay.
