New policy requires on-field players, personnel to stand for anthem

The Armed Forces shouldn’t be using taxpayer funds to pay the NFL to play the anthem to begin with. Beyond that, I don’t have a strong opinion; employers obviously have the rights to set expectations of this sort for employees, but this seems to be a paternalistic, mountain-out-of-a-molehill response to a few guys kneeling, both by the owners and the fans who are boycotting because of such protests.

These are the same type of people who cry and cry about the 2nd amendment after a psychopath easily obtains a gun, usually an assault style weapon and randomly murders 13 innocent people resulting in an uproar for gun control. The  2nd amendment was created in 1791 when the guns used took like 20 mins to load one bullet and were obviously nowhere near the level of destruction and deadliness they are now. Also the same crybaby snowflakes who counter the gun control argument with an idiotic rebuttal like “well garage doors kill people too let’s ban all garage doors” LMAO.

What about the kid who shot and killed 10 people in Texas that used a shotgun and a revolver?  We going to ban those guns too?  Don't forget about the Virginia Tech shooting.  The shooter used only handguns and he killed 32 people.  Banning assault style weapons will not stop school or any mass shootings.

I agree with this rule.  These players are employees of the NFL.  The NFL can make any rule they want, if the players don't like, then go find another profession.  We all have to follow rules at work.  Some jobs require us to wear suits, wear a uniform, be clean shaving, etc.  We may not like, it's part of the job and if we want a paycheck, we have to suck it up and deal with it.  There's no exception here.  If they want to protest, protest after the game, outside the stadium.  Until then, quit crying.

Until your employer begins requiring you to stand up, take off your hat, and "show respect" to a flag and a song, you should remain quiet.

I don't tell you how behave on the job while you're flipping burgers, don't presume you can tell me how to behave at my workplace.

I don't post much here but I thought I would give my input on this subject.

First,  I am a military vet of 22 years service to this country.

Second,  I am a 47 year old white guy born and raised in NC.

I was not deeply offended by what ck did.  I thought it was in poor taste and not the best venue for such actions.   However,  when he wore the pig socks, Castro shirt, and not bothering to take the time to vote,  that is what turned me against what he was doing.  I felt it became more about look at me than what he was trying to accomplish.  In my opinion he is doing the thing he is accusing the police.  Are there bad cops,  yes,  but there are far more good out there than bad.   Are there some bad people of color,  yes,  but there a far more out there trying to do the right thing and make a good life for their family, and guess what,  there are some bad white people out there too.

We are an imperfect nation made up of all kinds of different people,  most are just trying to get by and do the best they can.  There us truly only one race,  the human race.   Until we can all see the who person in the skin is nothing is going to change.

I don't know how to fix this country, but not being able to have a conversation without insulting anyone who has a different opinion isn't going to get us anywhere but further divided, and that is what BOTH political parties want.  It's easier to control a divided people than one who is United.    If we the people could come together,  there isn't anything we couldn't do.

All that said,  this is Memorial Day weekend.  Please take a moment in between the hot dogs and beer to remember all those who gave their life for this great, imperfect country.

Why do all you left wings kooks talk down to people by calling them stuff like "burger flippers", which you clearly are using as a pejorative in this case?  You aren't the only one, but its odd that people who are supposedly on the side of the little guy think its a hilarious insult to imply someone with who you disagree works in fast food.  Maybe you're just a brain dead piece of poo.  Who knows.

As for the players discussing other forms of protest; just remain in the locker room during the anthem, and continue to support their communities, other communities & causes through donation and charity. Plenty of players are doing this.

I knew Trump would respond, and unsurprisingly make this worse.

Hilarious coming from you. Most of your posts are you attacking a group of people or someone.

What kind of comment is that. Do you even know what you are talking about by saying Armed Forces using taxpayer funds. Where did this false assumption from anyway.
