People get bit by a poodle - the blame the individual owner and/or dog

A person gets bit by a Pitt bull and deems the breed as violent and dangerous.

Now substitute poodle for white person and Pitt Bull for black person - and you have racism.  the superiority is believing your own race is more refined and it is just individuals with problems not a race wide issue.

Why are you substituting.. have you not met people afraid of things that harmed them? I never mentioned Poodles in my Comments...it can be the same for Bees... people are afraid of Wasp, because they got stung by them... people are afraid of fire ants, because they got bit by them. Quit trying to spin what people are afraid of.

Each case - people fear it because they fear the whole group to be dangerous (prone to violence, easily provoked, etc)

Yeah doing that with another race of humans IS racism.  Its blatant straight out old school racism.

OK, I get it. So when they say we should understand that “It’s OK to be white” is a self-affirmation just like “Black lives matter,” should we object?

I’ve heard them say that, but here is the difference:

The history of slavery, Jim Crow, lynching, COINTELPRO, disproportionate police shootings, the war on drugs, mass incarceration, segregation, the creation of “black identity extremists,” Charlottesville, Va., hate crime statistics and Jeff Sessions becoming the chief law-enforcement officer in the United States proves the necessity of the phrase #BlackLivesMatter.

And since the sun rose over the horizon the day after the Jamestown, Va., settlers set foot on American soil and began infecting this land with their imagined Caucasian sovereignty, there has never been a moment in the history of this country, dare I say of the entire continent, when it has not been OK to be white.

Your going off one article? Bruh, if you want to think that all whitey is put on this earth for is to "oppress" anybody not white. You can think that, if that is your prerogative.

insects arent the same species as me.  So yeah - perhaps its specism?

it is still a living thing, like humans are. That is the way I see it. We fear living things... people, plants, animals, insects... etc. Fearing something or someone is not racism. Prejudice... you betcha.

Nope. I have nothing else to ask. I had this really funny troll line I was going to hit you with but since you said you actually saw combat, it would not be funny and the joke backfired.

I might quibble that just fearing a group is actually prejudice, and the determination of whether it extends to racism depends on how they act on that fear.  Not that it matters too much.

Perhaps - can you have deep prejudice like that and not have it manifest in one way or another as racism?  In our current society most likely not.

Resentment for people of color, is not racism. Resentment and Racism... are different.  And no.. Doc.. is because I was a Navy Corpsman "Medic" for the Marines.

Corpsman are some bad MF, any Marine will tell anyone that some of the best Marines they ever served with were their Doc,... I know some of mine were.
