This is not over, and i expect that it will now become a bigger issue simply because the NFL and President Cheeto couldnt resist to kick the beehive again.

Literally best possible compromise for all parties.  

Regardless of how u stand on the anthem issue - this new policy will not solve anything. Folks have a right to protest and they will find another way to do it during a game. All this has done has added fuel to the fire. 

Comparing a professional athlete and their work schedules to a regular citizen who works 9-5 is very ignorant. Its like comparing a car or a pressure cooker to a fire arm whenever the gun control debate starts up.

To those of you who never served yet try to explain to others how I protected your freedoms while at the same time dictating how others should behave- you're a hypocrite.

To those of you who believe service members are insulted or otherwise outraged because someone chooses not to act in a fashion that fits your belief system- you don't get it.

How can anyone call this a compromise? There was nobody present from the player's union during the discussions to reach an agreement. By all accounts, the players union didn't get anything they wanted out of this. In fact, they lost their right to peacefully protest, that was reaffirmed just last year. This is the NFL protecting the DOD dollars. Nothing more, nothing less.

That basically sums up a lot of America. People get their panties (and by people, generally speaking I mean white conservative males) when an athlete or celebrity or chef speaks what’s on their mind - STICK TO SPORTS. STICK TO ACTING. STICK TO COOKING. ETC. but they don’t feel that way as long as you are saying something they agree with.
