Coastal Carolina would mean I have to drive on 20 through Darlington and Florence.

If I’m coming from Winston, I have to go through Maxton, Laurinburg, Pembroke, and Whiteville.

Eww.

I  have been down to that area from Winston a lot of times, and I haven't ever driven thru those towns.

Asheboro, Rockingham,  and Bennettsville. :)

I lived in Charlotte for over 20 years and moved to Greenville a year ago. I can tell you that outside of the uptown, there is very litte difference between Greenville/Spartanburg and Charlotte.  The small towns around this area are no different than the small towns around Charlotte.  This is an old stereotype that I also believed for many years until I moved here.

About the team moving their training camp.  It makes sense logistically where it is.  Its not too far from Charlotte and is an easy drive. If its the fact that JR went there, there are many more options for colleges down here.  Personally I dont care that JR went there, it has become tradition to have it there.

Please God... Not Boone... The only thing good in that area is Blowing Rock.. and the Waterfalls, parks, and trails.... Boone is Horrible... there is nothing to do there but eat and be bombarded by pretentious College Millennial Kids who think Apple is the best brand ever made.

Sorry to Boonians, but App State college kids has tooken over that town, cant even have a nice day outside with Cammo Pants, NRA T-Shirt, Trump hat and Open Carry a Pistol... you get harassed.

As you should.

Exactly. Boone is a tourist spot . As such the hotels stay booked all summer with Floridians and flat landers trying to get out of the heat . And Greenville/ Spartanburg is many times larger than Boone .  10 hotels in Boone . A quick google search shows me over 30 in the Greenville area. Nice try tho.

Greenville is too far. Not to mention it's basically just a city. They could just as well have it in Columbia and have twice the stadium to play in.

Yea, my mind was on when I’d drive to see my grandmother in Lumberton. I drove through there a couple times and hated it. Now, I take 87 and go through Sanford and Fayetteville. That’s a little better

They should have it in Greensboro, and have A&T accommodate them :). Our Beacon food joint would be Stephanie’s or Dames chicken & waffles.

Who am I kidding. You’d have people complain about not feeling comfortable on the east side. Plus the Triad is too far from SC.

Greenville is half the city and Columbia is a central location where Greenville is basically Tenn.

Is there a real problem with where it is now?  Changing for the sake of change is often a mistake.  I realize there are JR ties but I think it’s internally manufacturing a problem.

Tepper from yesterday: "– is that I have a great appreciation for how stupid I am, and sometimes it's better to do nothing than to do something. I think you want to be very careful and move very carefully when you do anything."

Sounds like Tepper thinks the same.
