Will we hear from/see JR any more?

Dude, you are being a little obsessive on this subject.

The NFL has much more things to worry about than JR being an old creepy man. Matter of fact, they just washed their hands of it. This wasn't a surprise to them, and they knew well before the leak it was going to occur. Hence the quick and haste process of the team sale.

Now on your other post, there will be a tribute to him, but not right now. Most likely when he passes on. JR will not be punished by the NFL, nor will the Panthers.

The only way this turns into more than it is..... is if the legal system gets involved. Most of the plaintiffs (sucks that there are some) will receive (or received) payments and move on. Just like you.

Your bad mouthing of JR gets exhausting. WE get it. Just like Hurney haters, say your piece and move on. You are not just beating a dead horse, you are fuging it.

Oh sure, why badmouth a guy just because he harassed some women? I mean, they were probably asking for it anyway, right?

So who cares if we glorify the guy who victimized them? They're just gold diggers anyway, am I right?

(sheesh) :eyeroll:

If you've read anything written by NFL insiders over the past few months, you'd see pretty clearly that the NFL wants the image of Jerry Richardson to fade away as fast as possible.

Will they punish him or the Panthers? Unknown. The NDAs make it difficult. Pretty sure the guys who negotiated those agreements and didn't report them to the league though, they're gonna be looking for work soon.

Bottom Line: Any disgrace that Jerry Richardson is suffering right now, he brought on himself. He doesn't need my help.

Oh, this has nothing to do with what JR did. Everyone knows it is wrong. We just don't need a reminder everyday by you. No one here is celebrating JR. We, just like the NFL, want to move on. However, with you constantly bringing it up, makes it difficult.

New chapter of Tepper is here, stop with the JR talk.

I don't need a columnist to inform me that the NFL wants to move on from a creeper... lol. What a mundane point.

Mr. Scot would contribute a lot to the huddle and continue to do so. But leave the JR bs off screen.

Who is this thread about again?

Did I start this thread or did someone else?

Of all the threads I've been starting lately, how many of them have had to do with things other than the team sale?

I actually started a thread just a little while ago today. Who was it about?

But yeah, I'm obsessively keeping Jerry Richardson in the forefront :eyeroll:

But yeah, I'm obsessively keeping Jerry Richardson in the forefront :eyeroll:

1. The thread is about the Panthers and Tepper having JR around.

2. Someone else started it

3. It's not the thread you start, it's your posts and plenty. (Why are you only talking about "threads?")

4. Tepper

Never said you only discuss JR, but when you get a chance to go on a lengthy bash you do. Everyday.

Bonus: You replied to this thread with response that was nowhere near to what OP asked. Instead you bashed JR. Which clearly aligns with what I have stated about you the last two posts.

Simple ask: Move on from the JR bashing. Not sure why that is so difficult. You may defend yourself and say you don't but if I am going to be blunt (which I always am): I see your name and think "here comes another bash on JR." I wouldn't think that if you didnt do it. I am sure I am not the only one.

I am done. Hopefully you take the feedback, instead of deflecting. Which is something you do often as well.

I think JR might be in the building at times, but as a guest and it won't be publicized.  I also can't imagine him no longer watching games, so it's probable that we see him on the jumbotron a lot.

He can buy a box. He's certainly able to afford it. Old, stubborn, racist pervert or not, he's the reason we have a team in Charlotte.

Breer said the league was prepared to suspend him if the sale dragged on. And pretty much everyone wants that statue down.

The NFL wants him to disappear.

This. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if him being banned from all team facilities isn’t part of the sales agreement.

Nah the sale was expedited precisely so the NFL and JR could sweep this under the rug as cleanly as possible. Neither side wants the scandal to keep coming up and it will if he hangs around. Richardson will take his money and disappear and I expect the investigation to conveniently fizzle out now.

Plus, if you're Tepper and just dropped billions on this team who wants the old owner coming in and kicking his feet up all the time, especially one with controversy? Gotta move forward and establish yourself as the new Big Cat.

Nice dodge. I'd have respected your answer if you would have just been honest enough to say that the threat was about Jerry Richardson. Since you didn't, talking about "deflecting" is pretty funny. As is trying to suggest that I've been heavily focused on Richardson when, as mentioned, I focus the vast majority of my discussion of the last few months on the team sale.

Whether you like to hear it or not, Jerry Richardson pretty nasty. I'm not going to pretend he didn't. And if you think my responses are "bashing", you should take a look at some of the things others have posted.

You don't want to hear people talking about what Richardson did? Don't click into a thread about Richardson. If you do, get this be ready to accept that a lot of people really hate what he did.

Deal with it.

No, I understood, and that's my answer.

I'm pretty sure if the NFL had a neuralyzer and they could erase his memory from existence, they would.

They sure as heck don't want him showing his face around the building.

I think you are exaggerating the NFL's level of concern.  They wanted him gone, he is gone.  The issue will now be largely forgotten.  I don't think he will come around for a while, but assuming he survives long enough, I wouldn't be surprised to see him come back in the office to visit in a year or two.

That being said, we won't hear much out of him.  He will hob nob with friends and other billionaires,  and live out his life out of the limelight.  We will likely hear a little about him when he passes, but that is about it.

I'm going off what I've read and heard from different sources; Breer, Gantt, LaCanfora and others among them.

As mentioned, the NFL was going to suspend Jerry Richardson at the start of the season if this dragged on that long. And MechaZain is right, that's one reason that the sale was expedited.

They don't want this story in the public eye any longer.

They are all wrong and I am right. ;)

Seriously, I am not saying the NFL wasn't concerned, or didn't want this to go away.  Just that now it is done, and they aren't going to be that concerned if he comes in the office for a visit in a year or two.
