The turnover in *insert any of Jake's 12 turnovers* would have made a few games quite different wouldn't it?

I think the actual turnover that killed us in the Atlanta game was the Deangelo/Stewart fumbles. Killed us tbh. We were moving the ball well. Jake played well that game. The int in the end zone was really nothing else was open.

That being said, I don't know if we could have stopped Atlanta if we had a lead that game. Their last 2 drives were more conservative I think than the earlier drives that half.

Yea but if Jake only had 2 INTs this year, I wouldn't say sh*t about him.

Two fumbles or two INT's are forgivable, but 12 turnovers of any kind, not so much.(at this point in the season)

How do you figure we should have won? They dominated us and lead the whole game. The game was never as close as the score indicated. They had a 15 pt lead going into the 4th quarter. Atlanta has had our number for years. You must be a new fan.

As usual, Gman is wrong. Since Jake became our Qback, we are 7-8 against Atlanta. Most of those years involve splits with us winning in Charlotte and them winning in Atlanta. Thats hardly having our number. Of course, they did rack up a lot of wins in earlier years, ie the seifert years and the first expansion year.

We have a very good shot at them when they come to Charlotte.

If Fox steps in runs the show what difference would it make? Trogovac had a lot of successful defenses here over the years. I don't see much difference and at this point last season our D was carrying the team. They certainly were tackling better.

To be fair, no defense has looked good against those teams. IMO, holding any of the three under 30 points would be a acceptable performance. To win against those three, our offense is going to have to put some points on the board.

It's all about pressure and turnovers, I expect us to at least be aggressive in play calling or we won't have a chance to hold them at all. That's mainly what I want to see against those teams. With that said I agree, under 28 at least is a decent out come. I do think we have the talent to hold them to less with the right type of play calling though.

We need TD back. Hopefully giving him week and a half to rest the achilles will help him to be ready for AZ. TD has been killin' em since the season started. He's been in mid season form since go.

For where this team is right now, improvement and not being humilated are things to be grateful to have.

Injuries can be a great equalizer in the NFL and while I think the Saints are a tremendous team this year, I want to see them win in below 32 degree weather, outside, before I crown them. The best thing that could to the Panthers when the Saints are here, a nice, cold, windy, rainy day. Teams that will beat the Saints are teams that have ball control and no turn-overs for shortfields (obvious).

...and am the only one that is already sick of the 'Matty Ice' nickname.

Yeah I'd like to see the Saints play well when it's below freezing,which would happen up north some where.There hasn't been a home game that was below freezing here,the coldest it's been for a home game in the last few years was last year for the MNF game.The temps at that game was around 44f!A home game in Clemson in 95 was about 35f(coldest home game)and I went to a Rams vs Panthers game a few years ago,it was 38f at kickoff,other than that it's usually quite balmy at most of our games!

i wonder what the weather will be like against the vikings in a december night game? most likely the vikings will be playing for the playoffs so the game should hold weight for them. they are a dome team.

Even when you think you're proving Gman wrong you end up proving him right. We have a losing record against them since Jake and had one long before Jake. Face it, the falcons own us! We are their property and thats never going to change!
