If you aren't improving you are getting worse.

Cam is an amazing QB and I have probably the most rose colored glasses ever made but even I know Cam could Improve in certain areas.

I hope Norv wears him out.   Cam isn't a quitter and will work on what Norv teaches him.  Norv will make Cam a better QB than he already is.

It will be amazing to see the change, and what real coaching can do over time. tbh Cam is Cam, and he needs a coach that can exploit his talents. We now have that in Norv.

I’m not sure Cam really needs “coaching up” as much as the Panthers just need some offensive plays that don’t appear to have been drawn up by a four-year-old.

Madden 2004 could select better plays than Mike Shula... and be more creative and original too.

Yea but he needs to improve his completion  rate by 5-6% to move into the top tier QB  class.

Which can be easily accomplished if he works to improve his foot mechanic and throwing motion.

Just being put in better positions with better routes will automatically increase his completion percentages the way you are wanting. Better routes, play designs, etc. will result in more open receivers and a far more efficient offense that will make Cam look much better without him improving a bit. If he manages to increase his ability on top of that he will be virtually unstoppable.

Having receivers who actually catch the ball instead of dropping them will help too. It's crazy how much drop balls are put in the QB stat line even if he throws it perfect.

Thanks for posting @CarolinaSamurai.

Ive never actually watched the show on tv but from all the clips I’ve seen posted here, it seems like an entertaining program.

I may be a little biased because it appears that they generally talk positive about the Panthers.

Nate Burleson is top notch in the biz, imo.

Plays drawn up by a 4 year old may have been a high upgrade compared to Shulas drawn up plays and more creative being a 4 year olds mind doing it and could be more elusive plays since kids are good at elusiveness.

Agreed.  Norv understands offense as well as any human walking this Earth...just putting Cam in better situations should make him take a "leap".

A couple things that Norv will be better at.  1:  Getting calls into the huddle.  2:  Understanding tempo...which I never thought Shula could.  3:  Using his playmakers effectively, and efficiently.

One thing that Norv will do....run the football.  Norv is known for his passing attack, but he runs the football as much and as often as anyone out there.  Just think of names like Tomlinson and Smith.

1a.  Adjustments- in game and halftime adjustments. Look at Bill B talk about in game adjustments. Something Shula could never do.

Meant to put that in there and work got a little silly.  Yup, adjustments in real time is something that Shula could not seem to do.

If the plan worked from the start, we were good to go, if not....well, it would be a long Sunday sometimes.
