How many fans remotely predicted we would be in the Super Bowl after KB went down in training camp?

I'm cautiously optimistic right now. It's only May. We know there will inevitably be a large amount of hand wringing one way or another once preseason has wrapped. That's the huddle.

On paper, I feel like we have the squad to do it.

However I fully believe that some black magic fugery is going to come down upon us and lead to an 8-8 finish or worse because that's what always seems to happen to us.

Tell me who or if gets injured and I will tell you the final win-loss record.  This has always been a schedule of close games, some years we win them some we lose them.  

My predictions:

- we go 13-3

- saints will be last in nfc south 

- we play packers in the NFC championship game and win in OT

Our run game wasn't that elite last year either. A lot of that had to do with the one who will not be name'd predictable playcalling.

On paper, we're capable of another 15-1 year. But the stars have to align. This franchise has poo luck. If we sign just one veteran safety, then this is achievable. What is our past records each year we play the AFC North/Central? 7-8-1 last time.

Not necessarily significantly worse but yeah. I know most think Poe is an upgrade but I think it's a wash. I also think Searcy is a wash vs Coleman. I do think that Cockrell is a decent upgrade from Worley. My main concern is at DE. Pep is 38, Addison will be 31 at the beginning of the season and the only other person we know is Hoton who is JAG IMO. Also TD is out the first four games and has already showed decline the last two seasons.

I think we are going to break the curse this year. With Norv and Washington taking over and Hurney finally giving the offense the weapons they needed. I don't see a slow start as we didn't have a ton of roster churning and wont be starting a bunch of rookies. This team may be the best we have ever had on paper in May.

First 6 games are tricky and we really need to come out strong (just like every season).  Dallas and the Falcons are no push overs.  Bengals, Giants, Redskins and Eagles look like 3-1 but the skins should be better with Alex Smith and I think the Giants could have a major turnaround.  Bengals isn't a free win either.

All in all, I think we do get a winning season but 9-7 may not be enough.

On the other hand if we come out hot on offense (30+ pts a game) we could be undefeated so who knows.

I expect a dominant season. We went 11-5 last season with a flawed roster that almost beat the super bowl champs. NO was the only team that really had our number and even then we were only one cheap shot ref call away from stealing the game in the playoffs

I think we break the curse, but I think the new oc will have more to do with it than the new owner.

I suffer from the same malady. Seems no matter what the pundits say I am always surprised and disappointed when we don't win.
