Our projected LG from NFL.com

Recommended Posts

I know this doesn’t mean anything until the pads go on, but nfl.com is projecting Tyler Larsen to win the LG spot. I’m for that. If he can step up that leaves Moton to perfect his craft as a Tackle. Tackles are that much harder to find anyway.  If R Kalil goes down again Tyler can slip into C and Moton, Sirles, or Van Roten could play guard.  As long as it’s not Amini

Oh and Cockrell on the outside but that is not that much of a reach right now.

Quietly, Larsen has started 15 games for us over the past 2 years.  While he is probably not a true C, I can see LG being the easiest position to play on the OL...Maybe he will do fine there.

Forget grooming Moton for a year--I want him to compete with Matt K for the LT job.  Period.  However, Moton does not think the LT job is open (interview where he said he wanted to go for the LG job because it is open), and that makes me wonder about his competitive fire. All jobs are open if you are good enough.

Not when Ron Rivera is head coach, lets just be real. The fact that he stated only one position is open for the taking  this early tells you all you need to know.

I'm gonna say this without a doubt, if Moton gets the guard spot, and we're short a swing tackle...hurney is gonna bring in Everyone's favorite Byron Bell.  That move would put more people on suicide watch then Bersin making the squad again.

Pretty sure he talked to the Jets a couple days ago, don’t know if they signed him

Great roster until i saw those last three...

At least safety is the (only) position with decent options still available. So we can call if the suicide watch until after the summer vacations :)
