I would package Kemba, the 11th pick, and Lamb to move up to pick 3 or 4.

Man, that is a very high price and I don't see anyone at 3 or 4 worth that.  I personally like Porter a ton but when you look at it is he that much better Miles or Knox or Mikal?  Plus, his back is a long term concern right now.  We need to stay put and pick IMO.

Would I trade Kemba for a top 5 pick straight up?  Only if I was damn sure he was not resigning.  I am still hoping we can make it work somehow and keep him...not looking good though.  I honestly like Knox upside.  Knox, Miles or Mikal are all fine with me.

As a Tar Heel fan it hurts to say but Marvin Bagley or we could go after Mohamed Bamba.

Bagley would be ideal but I doubt we could do anything to move into the top 3 without giving up kemba and monk + pick. I think would prefer a Kemba to Cleveland for #8 plus fillers. That way we can rebuild with #8, #11 and Monk. If we could pull off what you are suggesting than I would be down!

The argument for being positionless though is that the game is kind of trending in that direction. When I watch Boston, they literally have guys that can switch and guard multiple positions on defense, lead the break, create offense, etc. The reason I've warmed up on Bridges is because he's built and has a great frame plus I think his athleticism will allow him to guard 3's and 4's for sure and potentially some 5's and bigger guards. I just really don't know how good he can be defensively. He didn't post great steals numbers at MSU. That being said, I have this strange feeling that he's got this high defensive ceiling with the right coaching.

The main reason I'd choose different players over Miles (Carter, Mikal, SGA, etc) is that for a player that hangs his hat on explosive offensive play, he won't be the best athlete on the floor anymore and his shooting (right now) isn't enough of a difference maker. There are other guys that fill more distinct roles on the team as it stands.

Basically I get the appeal from Miles Bridges, but I'm not 100% there on him being the guy for me right now.

I 100% agree, I think I worded my post wrong. I just don't see Bridges being a good enough shooter at his height for the modern NBA

This isn't me being an anti-Duke guy because I actually think Wendall Carter is going to be a great big man, but I think Marvin Bagley is massively overrated.

Man, Ayton is overrated if you think he will turn the Suns around.  All these dudes have questions.  Actually Doncic is probably the safest pick in the draft.  He has played men already and has size and produced in the second best league in basketball.  The NBA draft is a MASSIVE crap shoot and has been forever.  Busts ALL over the place.

I agree but I love Donic I wouldn't hesitate to take him number one if I was any team in the league.

Trae Young at 8 and Kevin Knox at 11 and if Trae is not an option at 8 then SGA.

My only concern is Trae and Monk being a very undersized lineup. I think Trae would be a good pro but I don't know how he would fit next to Monk.

Trae Young can score, that is basically it.  I think he'll end up a back up utility type player at best.  Bust potential BIGTIME with him.

Kevin Knox is probably our best bet.  Dude is 18...18 and can score the ball.  6-9 with 7 ft wing span and fairly athletic as well.  I like Knox most of the guys projected at 11.  He won't dominate but he can score.  I don't want ANYONE who cannot score the ball.  Period.

True. I just like his potential. Defense would be an issue for sure but Monk and Young on offense. Wow. That would be dynamic.

For me best case scenario:

We trade Kemba and get the Cleveland pick and select Michael Porter Jr. With the #11 we get SGA. A lineup of SGA, Monk, Batum, Porter Jr and Hermangomez would be nice.

Another option I like that is a little more realistic:

Trade Kemba and with the Cleveland pick choose the PG we like the best Sexton or SGA. Then with the #11 pick up Robert Williams, who can play PF or Center. Lineup I would like would be Sexton/SGA, Monk, Batum, Marvin Williams or Frank, Robert Williams.
