David Tepper the kind of guy who'd buy a $43.5M oceanfront mansion just to tear it down and replace it with one 2x its size for 'revenge'

Honestly, David Tepper is a very interesting character to study. He's filthy rich and loaded. So, when reading this article, it's amusing to see what he does with his excess wealth and his personality.

As someone else put it, he'd be the "kind of owner that if his NFC South rivals piss him off, he’ll just buy their teams and disband them"

Tepper in 2011 bought a $43.5 million oceanfront mansion in the Hamptons that used to belong to the wife of Corzine, who'd passed him up for a promotion at Goldman Sachs. Tepper tore down the house and built a new one twice its size on the property.

The 15,000 square-foot house was dubbed "The Revenge Mansion" by tabloids when he finished it. "You could say there was a little justice in the world," Tepper told New York magazine.

Gotta say, although it seems the NFL sucked up for him to be the owner, but curious to see if Tepper's the kind of guy who'd let any organization control him with that kind of personality.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo

We dont have a owner who cares more about making a few bucks or someone who will be super opposing fan friendly, and suck up the nfl with their shield at midfield?

And cares more about winning and the fans?

I feel Hurney is going to be on a short leash, because he doesnt take losing lightly

Sounds like my kind of guy.

My biggest takeaway is that he was able to pay his way through college with a job stacking books at a bookstore. No wonder millennials are bitter. You need $50,000 in high interest loans just for an undergrad degree from a decent school these days.
