CLT has a great game day atmosphere.  We should play some games in SC every now and then. But the team belongs in CLT.

If Charlotte lost the Panthers that would be a huge blow

Hell, play home preseason games in Columbia and Raleigh. Spread the fan base in the Carolinas. I’m all for that.

but never regular season games.

oh look, another trash sc...nc is better thread.

it's obvious a lot of you don't spend any considerable time in the "opposing" state.

truth be told, they're damn near identical.

NC and SC may share some resemblences geographically, but that’s it. You may want to study up on your facts before accusing someone else of not knowing what they are talking about.

Most People in Columbia, SC can’t afford to attend a panthers game. Where would they play these games in Raleigh and SC? They don’t have the infrastructure to accommodate an NfL game and everything that accompanies it.

fact....i damn near live in both states.

I don’t care, and that doesn’t provide any type of evidence or support to your claim that the two states are “damn near identical.”

do not reply to me again without doing research.

Lol what. People in Columbia can’t afford to attend a Panthers game? Geeeez

Not to mention, they could easily play at NC State and U of South Carolina stadiums. Remember, the Panthers played their inaugural 1995 season at Clemson.

Just like the location of the real Four Corners, where you can visit 4 states at once (Colorado, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico) - sounds like the Huddle’s @4corners is a little off too...

Wait, what?

Charleston is cool and all, don't get me wrong.  Great city.  I have lots of friends who live there.  Charleston is far and away the gem of South Carolina.

Outside of that... it goes downhill REAL fast.

Columbia? Dump. And the CAPITOL, at that.

Myrtle Beach? MEGA dump.

Spartanburg? Dump.

Greenville? Up and coming.  Not a total dump.

Hilton Head - overpriced, overrated, but pretty.

Did I miss anything?  There is literally not one more place in SC worth mentioning in this list.

Now, compare that to... Charlotte, Raleigh/Durham, Asheville, Winston-Salem/Greensboro, Wilmington, The Outer Banks, etc.

There is a REASON there are 3 major professional sports franchises in NC, and not a single one in SC.

I’ve been to a NCSU game in Carter Finley. I guess having a preseason game in the triangle isn’t a rotten idea but I still think that the infrastructure around the stadium wouldn’t be able to accommodate an NFl game comfortably. What does CF and WB stadiums seat?

The person who said that is a moron. NC and SC are not similar at all. If they wanted to put a stadium in South Carolina, the absolute only place they could build it would be in fort mill/ Indian land area as close to Charlotte as possible. It’s a terrible idea to begin with.

Like what I am hearing so far in regards to staying in BOA.  That stadium was built in a modern era way... in that is has plenty of suites with a lot of club seats.  I also think the stadium is in  great location with plenty of room inside to add some more amenities.  Plus, that entire corridor has plans in place to make that area even better.

I am fine with giving Tepper tax incentives, and money to do upgrades, etc.... BUT Lets get this settled... and will be very happy if and when they sign to stay in BOA.

I live in Charleston area and we don't have the roads/infrastructure to support a stadium here. The roads are terrible and people can barely get to fugin work. As cool as it'd be to have one here/so close to the beach we need to get some city planners/engineers with more than 3 teeth to come and update the fugin infrastructure.

If somehow a stadium was put in the Charleston area no one would make it to the games because they'd be filtering in 1 car at time and getting ran off the road by the Trucks going to/from the docks. Too much 18wheeler traffic and they don't even have their own routes/support. It really is retarded.
