I live in Rock Hill and while I'd love to have the stadium closer to home, it makes no sense to take it out of downtown Charlotte.  That being said, moving it would generate more $$ for the owner, so there's that......

Talk is cheap, as made evident by how Kroenke yanked St. Louis around for years before finally relocation to LA, despite stating on several occasions he would not. Hopefully there is a written agreement soon extending the teams previous commitment to Charlotte.

never heard of Tepper until recently. I don’t trust him and it would not surprise me that within a year there will be grumblings of him not being happy with the stadium and relocation talk. He will shake down the city for a new stadium if wants one. All of these mega rich dudes are the same.

I belive the opposite of what I am being told in regards to the team and the new owner. He is saying all the right things currently, not rocking the boat, but when the team is his he is going to do what he wants when he wants. He has no connection to Charlotte, the Carolinas, or the panthers fan base at all. I am not going to be surprised one bit if relocation chatter starts up once him and the minority owners start crying about a new stadium on the tax payers dime, while teachers have to have school supply drives for paper and pencils.  

City leaders need to get something in writing from him reassuring his commitment to the city
