Panthers Owner David Tepper Wants The 'Steeler' Approach In Carolina

Teller is a smart guy. As a minority owner of the Steelers I'm sure he saw things that worked, and things that didn't. He'll bring those things that he felt worked...but now, he'll have absolute power to implement change to areas that need improvement.

The man is worth over 10 billion dollars.  I don't think anyone can say that he doesn't know how to win.  Winning is exactly what this team needs.  For all the negative people, open up your eyes and look at his results and all his success.  What makes you think he will not be successful?  What makes you think he will be ok with mediocrity just like our last owner?  What makes you think he can't win in this environment?  He went from nothing to 10 billion.  My money is on David Tepper to not just want to be successful like the Pittsburgh Steelers but to actually be a successful, winning franchise just like the Steelers.  I am excited for this change in ownership.  Go Panthers!

Every owner is worth millions if not billions. If being rich were the only criteria to having a successful football franchise then they all would be successful. Appreciate the positivity but the logic is suspect at best.

But we don't know if he was in favor of those successful things or not. He wanted Tomlin fired. If the Steelers go all the way would he get much credit?

As a minority owner he had little say. Sure he might have all the right ideas or he might now do all the things he couldn't do with the Steelers good or bad...

Tepper is not Richardson.  Richardson failed miserably at modeling the Panthers after the Steelers.  I honestly don't care who they model after.  I just want to cheer for a consistently successful franchise.  What we have now is hope of something different and better.  So we can at least celebrate that.

Let's wait until he actually does something that is successful before we all celebrate.

When you buy a business for $2.2 billion you can implement your own business culture and plan. Will he make the right decisions 100% of the time? No, nobody does. Does his business background success suggest he makes good decisions. Mmmmmmmmm, yes.

Actually his success says he is in a very lucrative business and he knows a lot about hedge funds. It says little about what he knows about football or other areas of his life. There are a ton of very rich people who make terrible decisions every day. Look no further than Wall Street or Washington for numerous examples.

I prefer to look at this ownership transition as a positive change.

Never understood why anyone cares about this so much.

Will be hilarious if it stays

It wasn't the logo per se that people didn't like. It was the impression, right or wrong, that Jerry cared more about the success of the league than that of the Panthers.

There have been many people not exactly on the Tomlin bandwagon and feel he is a drawback to that team’s success
