If a domed stadium is in the offing, just hope that it is in the suburbs rather than in another state/region. Best plan would to build one in nearby small town area with tons of parking, perhaps take over an industrial park area that never took off. Then demolish the current stadium and use for higher end development within the city (another skyscraper or two).

If they moved it to Concord that would okay with me. We can demolish the speedway and put it in its place.

Not with those lights and it may not be justifiable. I don't see the point of building a new stadium and hurting business other than stroking your own ego. ATL is hybrid but mostly indoor they don't open that oragami probably b/c it looks like an asshole. Plus the ACC has a deal and if there's a new stadium that could void that deal. However, the idea of a super bowl is nice.

If a new stadium is part of the plan my favorite option is demolish BOA and build a new one in the same location. Play down at Clemson for a few years until new stadium is built. Not sure if this is realistic option, but it's better than building a stadium down by Carowinds.

I expect said dome will probably be moved away from Charlotte as well. Maybe to Fort Mill where real estate is cheaper.

That's a absolutely terrible idea. The location of Boa is horrible. Bad traffic, no where to park, no where to tail gate, and no real estate for expansion. A new owner could make twice as much just charging for parking to tailgate in.

Is there somewhere else in the Uptown area that a stadium could be placed? Moving the stadium out of Uptown would be an awful decision.

Im really interested to see how Haynes is used.

Im just not buying him being a straight DE.  He has that quickness and length to be good in a Joker rusher which Beasly in Atl has thrived at.

He does have power, we've seen it from his bull rushing Robinson the big OT some people wanted last year.

Another thing, he stated in a interview that he is putting on 10 pounds and going to play at 245 this year.  Thats just 5 pounds lighter than another DE people wanted to draft last year early Takkarist Mckinley.

I think he has the tools its just if our staff knows how to use that weapon

I'm curious too.  I watched some of the drills at the senior bowl, and he seemed to struggle when linemen got their hands in him, but he was quick around the edges and could win with speed.  That extra 10 pounds should help as long as it's good weight where he maintains his speed.  

My guess is they will find ways to get him in space in order to keep him clean when rushing the passer.  I could see him make some flash plays this year, but I really think with his weight and style, he'll need time to learn how to maximize is speed and quickness at the NFL level.

No it wouldn't. Uptown is compact and has very little growth potential. Like trying to find any reasonable parking is also madding. A state of the art retractable roof or dome would bring mega bucks to wherever its placed.

I disagree.

The stadium downtown is awesome.  Parking can be a headache.  But instead of building a whole new place.  Renovate it for waaaaay less, and buy up some of the remaining land downtown and help build some more parking.

The stadium uptown just gives it a buzz.  I get the feeling where some people feel that if it open out in a field tailgating would be awesome.  Ive been to a few NFL stadiums like that and its no where close to what is being built uptown Charlotte 

Those stadiums its almost a slight disconnect.  Unless you have a ticket.  Your sitting your azz at home and watching it.  There are tons of people now who, even if they dont have a ticket, come uptown for the pregame party and tailgate, then just go into bars and restaurants uptown to watch the game.
