K - Olindo Mare

 

 

LB is the hardest position just because we’ve always been lucky with great linebacker play. Same with FB for the most part considering Hoover was great for a decade

Nate Chandler and Byron Bell’s numbers would be worse had they not played together. Both would have given up more sacks by themselves, had their counterpart been competent. THEy also benefitted from an agile cam newton. Can you imagine those guys blocking for manning?

This was my thoughts for both him and Cason, both were glorified nickel guys who we moved outside, not in their game style to play outside

Richard Marshall was also really bad in 2010 IIRC.  Even more disappointing because he had a nice season the year before.

As bad as Nate Chandler and Byron Bell were, neither could quite reach the awfulness of Matt Willig.

Very much justified. Reggie Howard was a scrub too but Cousins was even worse. Amazing that we could have beat Brady in the super bowl  with those 2 as our starting corners only if Kasay didn’t screw us.

Matt Willig was hands down the worst player to ever start a game. Any list without him is incomplete. Todd Steussie was pretty terrible for someone who started multiple games.

Willig was a turnstile but he was tough. Chandler disintegrated on contact. I've never seen worse.

This is what happened the instant Chandler left the Panthers:

"On June 2, 2016, Chandler was signed by the Chicago Bears.^[13] The Bears announced his retirement on July 23, 2016."

Willig actually had a long career and played for several teams.
