This is what it looks like when someone lacks the ability to form an actual rebuttal, but still can't resist awkwardly attempting to shoehorn themselves into a conversation.

Keep it pushing poindexter.

Your response obviously wasn't to my post. Please identify any portion that "lessens the impact of his wildly inappropriate workplace behavior and casual racism ".  And I will proudly carry a torch for values such as family, politeness, a slower pace to life. And I am not confused about anything, except how did a football forum get taken over by leftist, anti constitutionalists, and anti- Americans.

Oh, silly me. You definitely aren't attempting to lessen the impact of the actions of a man who has a statue in our city. It's just a coincidence that after being questioned about it that you proceed to go on a bizarre rant about leftists, anti-constitutionalists, and anti-americans.

Looks like TheRed still isn’t getting laid.

You apparently lack the ability to recognize thoughts that are separated by a period.

No. He must consume an entire pound of livermush at mid field. Chased by a quart of Wilkes County Moonshine. Only then will he be "one of us"

If you're gonna throw out livermush, at least put a picture of the best

And here's a bit of wishful thinking on my part...

I wonder, if Tepper offered him a title like Team President or something similar and total control, would Kevin Colbert consider jumping ship?

My guess would be probably not, and even if he did the Steelers could probably prevent it (at least until Colbert's contract ran out) but it's a tactic that's been used successfully before.  Heck, that's how the Colts got Polian.

Having Colbert as the architect of the Panthers future would be quite a coup.

I like where you are thinking.

I would really like to hear his strategic vision for the team.  But I am sure that is ways off.

Have you read anything about sourced information of him pulling people from the Steelers, or is this mainly speculation on what you would do if you were him and what othes have done?

"Educated guess" is probably the best description.

Not too many people have talked about it so far because till recently, nobody knew for sure who was going to buy the team. Heck, we've all been expecting Ben Navarro until just a few days ago.

Probably be a lot more people talking about that in the days to come.

I was going to be fine with Navarro or Tepper.

Tepper is really sharp, opinionated, and philanthropic. We could do much worse than Tepper.

I would like to see what he does with his "team", and how much he wants to change the culture.  Which is hard to know unless you work inside.

I should add it's kind of a 'perfect storm" thing with Omar Khan.

He's a guy that the Steelers have been expecting to take a GM job for a while now. Been interviewed several times. Just hasn't closed the deal yet.

It's not exactly a stretch to think one of the Rooneys might encourage Tepper to finally give him his shot. The fact that Khan is also a minority would probably please the NFL.

Basically, it makes a lot of sense.

That said, things that make a lot of sense don't always happen.

I am down for Khan, just because this would be attached to every draft pick ever.

Tepper is a winner , guy wants to win . He's won at everything in life and he will not take a losing season organization

Gotta take a losing season. It's gonna happen. Philly was 7-9 in '16, and the Broncos dropped to 5-12 two seasons after they whipped us. The best he can do is try and make sure there are more wins than losses.

That thought crossed my mind :)

Full disclosure, though. Khan isn't my first choice. He doesn't really have a scouting background.

Obviously, he could still be good if he surrounds himself with the right people, and the Steelers organization is certainly a great example to follow, but I'd prefer someone with an actual scouting background himself being the guy that makes the final decisions. If I were pulling from the Steelers, that'd be director of college scouting Phil Kreidler.

We'll see what happens.

Tappers not the type to buy something and then sit on it. So, he’ll definitely come in and make some changes.

First of all, he’ll likely bring in somebody he knows and trusts to lead the transition. He’s not going to come in and bank on Tina Becker managing everything the way he wants it.

I also expect he’ll bring in somebody on the football side to start building the team the way he wants it built. Rivera and staff are likely safe for this year, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see a Pittsburgh guy come in and replace Hurney. I’m with Scott in that I think Omar Kahn has a good chance of being the new GM, but I also agree I hope he brings Kreidler with him to run the evaluation side of things.

Maybe Pittsburg or New Jersey would be a better fit for you

TheRed wouldn’t last 2 minutes in NJ. he’d come back and whine and complain that everybody up here has an ego for the next few years.
