Will he take something away from the Steelers? Of course! Will he want to put his own stamp on his team? Absolutely! I'm just going to sit back and go along for the ride. Better days are likely ahead!

I’d like him to bring Antonio Brown with

Keep in mind these are all educated guesses as to how he’s gonna want to run the Panthers. For all any one knows he could be very aggressive in free agency and retain Hurney. A lot of people are just putting their opinions out there and phrasing it so it sounds like a probability when at this point until we hear from Tepper himself and see how his first few months with the team are like and can get a decent feel for him.

"Educated guesses" is pretty accurate.  Logical educated guesses, but yeah.

Just because a guy owns part of the most or one of the most popular NFL teams doesnt mean he will do everything down the FA philosophy. Hes an owner. I think this blanket asumption is lazy and a tinge of butthurt.

We will get an owner that will except nothing but success. Thats exciting

What exactly is there to be butthurt about regarding Tepper being influenced by how his favorite team, the team he's been a part of for nine years, and the most successful team in league history does business?

Heck, I'm fine with it.

No, we don't know for sure how he'll do anything, but this is basic logical deduction.  If the suggestion were that he'd run things like the Patriots, that'd be pure speculation.

Everyone who has commented has no idea wtf is going to happen.  Its all nothing but WAGs at this point.   And I wouldn't be so sure tepper is going to keep the team in Charlotte, regardless of reports saying he wants to do so.  I would have felt much more secure there was a future for the Carolina Panthers had Navarro gotten the nod from the good ole boys club that is the NFL owners.

I DEFINITELY wanted Navarro but the only concern as far as team movement I currently have is moving it from Uptown Charlotte to the NC/SC border...not because I think he’s overly loyal but because I think he’s all about his money.

But as for people assuming he’s gonna want to run the Panthers exactly like the Steelers....I think most of us have worked somewhere for some one else and have seen how certain things are done thinking it could be done different and/or better than the way thing are currently done wishing we could change it. Football is likely the same...the Steelers quite obviously do a lot of things good but I gotta believe it’s just gonna be human nature for Tepper to also deviate a little and do things his way as well. Was hoping for Navarro but now that it’s Tepper I’m wishing him the best of luck and hopefully ushers in a golden age for Panthers football and win us some Super Bowls.

If Tepper as owner means getting away from the overly emphasized small town southern values bullshit then I'm all for it.

I guess we could endear the majority of fans by adopting a crude mother fuger kiss my ass immoral dickhead attitude. I'm sure the stadium would be full of transplanted northern assholes,

To be clear, he hasn't just been part of the Steelers for nine years.  He's been a fan since childhood.

And realistically, they're the most successful franchise in NFL history. Why not emulate them?

But conscious emulation isn't so much the point. It's more that his most likely source for front office hires would logically be people he knows from Pittsburgh.

Omar Khan has been one of those perpetual GM interviewees who just hasn't gotten an offer.  It's not exactly a huge stretch to think Tepper could be the guy to finally give him that opportunity.

Could Tepper just leave everything as it is without making any changes?  Sure.

Does what you've read about his personality and the way he operates make that sound like the most likely scenario?

My biggest question right now is whether he'll be hands on or hands off.  His personality says hands on, but his Steelers experience would point to hands off.

We'll see what happens.

I think he was hands off with Pittsburgh bc he didn’t have the authority he wanted to be involved

Meaning the Steelers ownership is hands off.

Kevin Colbert runs the team without interference from the owners.

He might as well bring in Tommy Maddox
