Isn’t amini the guy Hurney said he ran down the halls after watching Play on film at his division 2 school?

Probably. He destroyed people in college as you would expect an NFL caliber player to do in D2.

I'm saying Ron is so conservative as a HC that he'll play players he is comfortable with despite them being terrible over experimenting or trying younger, unproven players, to the detriment of this team as a whole.

Got it.

But how do we know its a detriment to the team?  How do we know the younger, unproven players will always perform better?

At what point do we trust the guy who is 64-47-1, was voted coach of the year in 2 of the last 5 years, and took us to the playoffs in 4 of the last 5 years including a superb owl?

I'm not a huge Silotolu fan, but I can't get on board the Ron bashing.  He's got the numbers to suggest he knows what he's doing here.

One thing I noticed from those videos is his balance.

It isn't that he is too weak.  He just plays with too much weight on his toes.  Usually, with high schoolers, this is because they are trying too hard, almost pressing.

Then he is getting overextended leaving him vulnerable to the pull-rip.

I'd rather try out the unproven players and give them a chance. We know how Amini will play-- barring some incredible improvement over the course of one offseason, he is a below-average LG.

Rivera's success is mostly the result of his players (namely Cam and the defense), I don't think I could name one game where Ron out-coached the other team and resulted in a victory. He's been shown to be slow to adapt or try new things in a league where it's adapt or die. He's not a terrible coach, but he's not a great one either.

Hey cool we're over reacting in fugin' may nice.

So hey remember in 2013 when Rivera benched Josh Norman for shitting the bed and replaced him with UDFA Melvin fugin' White.

And then next year replaced Antione Cason with Josh Norman (reluctantly) who, was notorious for killing it in practice and preseason but being poo in the regular season. And then everyone acted like Josh Norman was always that good and like half the board wasn't calling for him to be cut a few months previous.

We all know Amini sucks but chances are right now if there's a reason he's saying, in May, that Amini is the favorite it's probably a good fugin reason.

But no blah blah Rivera always sticks to vets or something.

I hope, Ron is talking up Amini because he really wants Moton to compete at LT this year, which would free us to walk away from the Kalil contract in the off-season.

Or maybe not.

It would go more to pumping up Moton to compete at LG...

It’s unbelievable Norwell may have never got a shot if Amini didn’t get injured. Now he’s a all-pro, highest paid guard in the league.

What’s even more amazing is Rivera’s hard on for Amini, keep bringing him back when no other team wants him and looking at him like he’s starting material when clearly he isn’t.

Just don’t get it, Rivera has zero ability to evaluate talent.
