dj moore is norv's guy and cam was pretty hyped up in getting him. i wouldn't be surprised to see funchess' production take a hit for that reason. they're going to want to see what they've got in their first round pick.

i think funchess will do good job with opportunities that he gets, but i just think that those opportunities are going to be fewer than they were last year.

He may not get the stats, but I want to see him have the impact Moose had. So much time is spent measuring numbers here that people completely disregard the impact that a player can have on the game.

heck the man almost had 900 yards in Shula's offense, and was hurt for the second half of the season.  He could easily go off for 1400+ this season.

He's the same as as Calvin Ridley too... Big time potential still. I could honestly see him getting the big contract from us. Good team guy, hard worker, good attitude... I think he's a baller.

I think Funchess has a spot on our receiver core for years to come.  He is so young, I could see the team locking him up for another 4-6 years.  The problem is, what will Funchess's role in the offense be?  Will he consistently perform like a true #1 receiver?  Will his role regress with the additions we have made to the roster?  I do not want to jump out and over value and over pay him.  Hopefully this season sheds some light on that and we can make a better informed decision next offseason.

He's definitely flashed at times the last couple of years.  Don't know if there will be enough footballs to go around with all of the new WR's on the roster so while he may not have a huge season statistically it might not mean he isn't providing a key contribution.
