CMC = Curtis Martin

Mccaffrey could get 100 more carries than Martin he still wouldn’t eclipse him.

Cmc caught 80 balls last year. He has the best hands I’ve seen in a back. Let’s see what he can do with 15 carries and 7 targets a game. He may eclipse 1500 yards from scrimmage right?

CMC will be better this year not because he gained 5 -10 extra lbs, but because he has 1 year under his belt, will have a more competent OC and will get the lead back carries that he deserves as the top pick last year.

As for the Curtis Martin comparisons, I think he comps closer to LeSean McCoy.

LeSean McCoy
5'10" - 198 lbs (at combine) - Currently listed 5'11" - 210 lbs
40 - 4.45
3 cone - 6.52
20 yd shuttle - 4.18
Broad Jump - 8'11''
Vertical - 29"
Bench - 17
945 Scrimmage yards rookie season

Christian McCaffrey
5'11" - 202 lbs (at combine) - Currently listed 5'11" - 205 lbs
40 - 4.48
3 cone - 6.57
20 yd shuttle - 4.22
Broad Jump - 10'08"
Vertical - 37.5"
Bench - 10
1,086 scrimmage yards rookie season

Size wise similar however vertical and broad jump are a great indicator of athleticism and explosive power and CMacs do not compare well with McCoy.

I’m surprised they don’t do clean and jerk or snatch or at least power cleans at the combine.

Look over the combine numbers again, friend...

Lmao @ anyone still thinking CMC doesn't run between the tackles. That's like saying Cam Newton isn't a pocket quarterback.

It just shows you actually don't understand what you're watching.

Oh, and check ur PM Igo.

Uh...

What people are saying is CMC isn’t a power runner which he isn’t. And sorry but no, Cam is not a pocket passer.

When this team forced Cam to be a pocket passer like other elite qbs we played poorly. And had to go back and unleash him. When we used CMC as a power back he did poorly.

The point is Cam can throw a pass from the pocket and CMC can run between the tackles...they can, but they can and should (by a competent coaching staff; NOT Shula) be used in better/more efficient ways.
